If the employees had NOT taken a pay cut and a cut to the pension would YRC still be around ? Now I'm only talking about the YRC part of YRCW I'm curious as to what you'll think !

The question should be: Has YRC taken away enough of everyone's fought rights in the past to stay in business, today?

Because with everyone just giving away a lot of ::shit:: that was already fought for, has been given back to the company with each new contract over the years.

YRC must like squeezing their employees like oranges. I guess it only encouraged the company to do that eventally, because we all were drivng orange trucks and it was near harvest time. After sqeezing out enough juice, they throw the orange away.

Just like drinking a can of beer. The can represents the union and the Teamsters is the beer that is inside the can. After YRC is done drinking a can a beer, they take the empty beer can and toss it right over their shoulders. Some may even turn around and stomp on the empty can before they walk away.

The union does have an opportunity to be recycled into handling the "GREEN" jobs. I don't see why not, because trucking companies only want to keep the people who are :buttkisser:, :iamnotworthy:, and who are uneducated that would only :shift: and never question authority.

Wow, come to think of it, I actually know there are a lot of these certain kind of people who work like that at YRC, even now.

Nah, I won't say it. It would be too obvious.

Wow 221 Views and only 32 votes ! Just like the MOU voting . :chairshot:
Remember, the rules are that if someone doesn't vote their automatically considered Yes votes. :biglaugh:

Will the Teamsters be advising (more like telling) us to vote yes or else :chairshot: I think they would still be around with no cuts.
For your sake you hope so. Otherwise, the cost of transportation will decrease along with everyone's salary and benefits. The drivers will have to be doing this to management :iamnotworthy:, :buttkisser:, intead. There won't be a career in truck driving, it will just be a job. The competition is about to get their amnesty in our country. Make sure to brush up on some Spanish.
Got to remember R-14, they don't have to be on-line to view the screen. They have to be on-line to vote. 428 viewed the screen, but 64 of them that were on-line voted. Are you having a hard time getting people motivated to speak up or answer a survey? Next time ask me, I always find a way to get people's attention. :biglaugh:

As of 7:00 am pst the poll is

Yes
15 (19.7%)
No
61 (80.3%)

I think that about say's it all 80.3 % think there would be no YRC if we hadn't taken a cut .
And only 19.7% think we would have survived .
There you go assuming again. Remember, it is a union site. The ones who don't vote are Yes votes. You should of started the post a different way. Where the Yes votes would be in your favor. Just like the union did.

It's OK, but your learning, though. :biglaugh:

With friends like you who needs, Oh you know the rest :biglaugh: :poke:

Perhaps you would have gotten a bigger voter response if you had actually asked a question. For instance, "Would YRC still be in bussines if something had or had not been done"?

I thought I ask a question ? :biglaugh:

Don't worry R-14, sometimes it takes years of practice to master it down. Where as others, like myself, it just comes natural. There is nothing wrong with having a tutor. So if you need a "Teamster-Tutor" to help you come up with a survey again, just let me know. Got to remember that there is a mixed breed on this forum. There are Teamsters on here and there are some of those others who are, uhhh, and uhhh, well, you know the rest. :poke: :biglaugh:

Without the lower cost structure YRC would have depleted it's remaining cash long ago - probably would have been gone by September 2009.

Also, without the concessions the banks wouldn't have allowed them to continue to borrow more, which has been essential to YRC's ongoing survival.
If YRC would show their employees some type of direction, by providing KPI's or scorecards, instead of being secretive, everyone can work to achieve a better goal in helping YRC to become more profitable again. Remember, attitude affects skill. No one gives a ::shit:: about the banks. More than half of the banks in the US were bailed out off of tax payers money anyway. Their insured, the employees aren't. It is hard to live a life and support a family on an executive's word, these days.

A better question......

If Yellow Corp. never purchased Roadway Corp. or USF Corp., which eventually resulted in the merger of Yellow and Roadway, then "Which company would of survived the recession and price war, to come out on top?

Yellow...........
Roadway......
USF ..............

My vote would be for Yellow!

That is the question to ask full deck. Unfortunately you're answer proves that your not playing with a full deck.
