The company had 30 days notice to stop PT.
All I heard too from most seniors was Hoffa jr sucked at his job and now hopeful this new sheriff in town can finally kill the snake in yellow corporate.Your around long enough to know there’s a big difference in organizing 15 bus drivers that come to you to join then there is going in to organize a trucking company. But maybe your right the IBT should give Yellow a pass to violate the existing contract and screw the hard working employees as the previous guys always did so they can go hand out organizing fliers at some non Union carrier.
I don’t recall you posting anything regarding organizing trucking all the years while Hoffa did nothing.
The letter is dated March 24th, not 30 days yet...So the 30 days are up did the purchased transportation stop?
Idk if you still work at abf but what's the word on TForce trying to buy ArcBest? The letter is dated March 24th, not 30 days yet...
A lot of BS.Idk if you still work at abf but what's the word on TForce trying to buy ArcBest?
Look it up TForce is trying to acquire ArcBest but who knows.A lot of BS.
Look it up TForce is trying to acquire ArcBest but who knows.
But Satish Jindel, an LTL consultant and observer, doubts a takeover of ArcBest is in the works. When companies acquire others, they rarely do so publicly, he noted.
“[TFI] didn’t cross the 5% threshold that required them to file,” Jindel said. “So they did it to just get some rumors started. They have accomplished that.”
Because maybe if a company can’t run a business the right way ….pay the employees a fair wage ……show a profit generally….operate the company so it’s employees don’t have to give back billions of dollars and pay the debt off completely…….which never happened by the way.then default on the employees medical insurance so that the union had to step in and pay the premiums.then they come up with this bullshit coo that violates pretty much the whole nmfa.then they ignore the purchased transportation guidelines and pay other companies to ship our freight while laying off employees of yellow. Maybe just maybe our management…..and I use that term loosely……Needs to take classes on how to run a trucking company…….they also need to work on their people skills lolSo the bad a** Teamsters Union executives aren't going to take any more crap from Yellow. Wow, they sure are showing how tough they can be with a crippled, financially weak company like Yellow. How come they can't do squat about organizing the well-to-do non union carriers? Crickets???
Your eloquent response still doesn't answer my question does it?Because maybe if a company can’t run a business the right way ….pay the employees a fair wage ……show a profit generally….operate the company so it’s employees don’t have to give back billions of dollars and pay the debt off completely…….which never happened by the way.then default on the employees medical insurance so that the union had to step in and pay the premiums.then they come up with this bullshit coo that violates pretty much the whole nmfa.then they ignore the purchased transportation guidelines and pay other companies to ship our freight while laying off employees of yellow. That’s a big word ….so what was the question?Your eloquent response still doesn't answer my question does it?
Here it is again in case you deleted my original post...That’s a big word ….so what was the question?

Ok I think I got your question…. My answer is I really don’t give a rats ass what the union does about anybody but yellow…..why should I add to the stress we already have here by comparing apples to oranges?it doesn’t help us one bit by comparing our contract to other union and non-union companies.we have been underpaid for too long..we got sold out by the teamsters when Hoffa was running it.I think we have got screwed long enuff.my eloquent post didn’t even mention the pension loss.I think O’Brien will fix this .he is not Hoffa …I think he will tell the company the truth….that for whatever reason if yellow can’t run a trucking business that’s profitable to the company and the employees they should either go non union and take their chances ….shut her down and call it a day .because if I was the president of the union I wouldn’t accept a bullshit lowball contract that only makes the union look like a bunch of money grubbing gomers I think I would refuse to negotiate a contract that would make the union look bad …..I would tell the company that the union refuses to negotiate with them and say thanks to all the members of the union for their service and THEN I would use that to try to get more nonunion companies to sign on boardYour eloquent response still doesn't answer my question does it?
Yellow folds, it would make it harder to organize non-union LTL companies, end up with a :Ok I think I got your question….
