TForce | Question about reaching full scale.....?

Part of being a teamster is looking out for well being of the whole there are 2 ways to look at wage progression.

1. The shorter progression the more appealing the job.

2. The higher the pay of a pt employee the less benefit the company has to work them instead of a ft one.

part of being a teamster is to make sure the fulltime woker gets his hours ........regardless of who makes what.

if your at the bottom of the scale.....climb down off your cross ,,,use the wood to build a bridge.....and get over it!:smilie_132:

it may have only taken me 1 and a half but oh well

Now I know why you go by "BigArms"... It's to hold up your "Big Head"...

1st. rule of thumb when changing from non-union to union is the need to “eliminate” all “thoughts of jealousy”...

Stipulations as well as prior requirements may or may not change for better or for worst... But, that is no reason to “hate” your fellow brother or sister... You can't hold things like "change" against your fellow man just because that's what you had to go through... You know what I mean?

It's all about "sticking it to the Man" from here on out... If we as a group can negotiate expedited progression, better pay as well as better working conditions then we had in the past “for our new recruits” then you know something? We succeeded!... Hence one of the reasons for bringing in the Teamsters...

Please, from here on out “eliminate” any and all “hostilities” that may or may not be in place for your fellow co-workers...

This trivial non-sense has no place in the new environment that we seek... And bottom line it is actually beyond our control... It's not the fault of the new that they are receiving what they are... It's what we are fighting for, for the future of all...

Thanks, I am in the progression now, so when Ollie brought it up I had to think about it. I have 1.5 years left until I top out.
Sppollock i am also in progression notice this a long time ago, brought it up to the attenion of the B.A. he had no clue. My biggest fear now is i make more than the progression rate of 19.35 phr, I think i am at something like 19.80 something phr.are they going to move me back, think i would be grandfather in,so according to this, wording here, me an you will not see another rise untill 36 months. Also if you read this, you will notice that if you work the dock, yard jockey, you will make 64cents less per-hour thats B.S. cause dock/driver is coming to us all, all fulltime employees will have a CDL. So if you are at or near the bottom of the list, you will be working the dock

After reading a little more.

In the page before the one I scanned it clearly says employees still in progression on the date of ratification will remain in the current progression rate until completion of the progression rate will be eligible for the hourly wages increase set forth in paragraph A.

Crossroads, luckily overnite found this. We will still be in progression until 36 monthes and then we will get all the raises that we havent all at once. So will still get 18 mo, 24 mo, and 30 mo. then 36 a real big raise. Like big arms says, I am not going to complain, I we need to go through whatever progression there is. I never thought about the dock worker aspect of your post. At our yard we are fully staffed on the dock, and there is still drivers under me, but I see your point.

"I too am in Progression"...

"Your" "Not" going to be "Set-Back"

"Progression" is contingent (or based on) the percentage of what people at top rate are receiving...

"If" they get a raise "your" percentage changes...
