Damn , is Averitt that bad ? Been working here n Houston (LTL) for a year.. Not sure if this is my final stop.. Mixed feelings about this place . Some good, some not so good. Looking at other options as well... Been on shuttle/linehaul for 3 months after 9 months being a city driver..

Yeah , recieved a call from several co-workers who does city P&D, & they informed me of the increase but for city work. I`ll find out tonight on linehaul what the new rate will be. Effective July

I've been on shuttle out of MWK for a year. I really have no complaints about Averitt. The new pay increase (61 cpm) for linehaul now puts us somewhere in the middle of the pack I believe. I certainly don't feel underpaid.

Freight here has been slow-ish since January but steady enough - we only missed two or three days due to winter weather.

And I was assigned a new Volvo day cab last week. What's been the "not so good" down in Houston?

Agreed . They (Averitt) wanna be with the B.I.G. boys yet don't offer what the big boys offer. They complain what the big boys are doing & not doing yet still offer middle of the pack $$$$$$..

I agree with Company Man on the 72 cents and disagree with the middle of the pack comment in pay. We are at the bottom the companies that Company man listed. App 6 to 8 cents behind. One day soon maybe AVERITT will do a correction in pay.

I've some linehaul rates posted on R&L board under "some linehaul rates" thread. Fairly current though we saw about a 3% bump in late May .
