FedEx Freight | Raises 2019

Given that the last 3 raises were $1,or more, 3% wouldn't be 90 cents.
If 3% is true, it's a sad joke, especially given the earnings for the last 3yrs.
3% is BARELY beating inflation in SOME areas.
could be a recession on the horizon especially if you follow truckings latest numbers. They have to have a contingency and pulling back money isn't Fedex's style.

Everyone's afraid of the trade war, the real question is what are they doing with that huge tax break they are getting? Definitely not seeing that trickle down and they are taking in huge profits

That is the right question to be asking:1036316054:. The tax cuts were not one and done, they go on... The sharing of the windfall? Beyond once, the silence is deafening...

Corporate America got what they wanted and they set records in stock buybacks which benefit those who honestly have plenty. Working people in the long run will get little to nothing and may even lose in the long run, but when you have wealthy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, big oil, insurance companies and wealthy people up on Capitol Hill running things this is what we can expect. Elections are nothing more than to give us the illusion we have some sort of say and frankly neither party seems to give a damn about working people. We will continue to watch our benefits erode while the wealthy just get wealthier.... it’s sad. We can be bought with a new truck with nice new technology, a free meal or even a pat on the head for some.

In all fairness and as much as it pains me to admit, the use of this year’s tax windfall by the company has already been explained...

Also have seen on social media from about a dozen ppl that we are not getting a raise. Now of course they dont provide proof but they echo some of the reasonings already seen here.

wouldn't surprise me in the least

We had all the big bosses at our center a couple weeks ago, and they said there would be raises in October. Just couldn’t tell us how much.

We know what the narrative is. We should also know, it seems like a case of lowered expectations, both in sharing the windfall, and in terms of conditions that justify minimizing wage increases.

There will be another quarterly report out in Sept. It might be interesting to see what it shows. How much will we need to contribute to the bigger team? Challenges at Express do not negate the need to be competitive in the (Freight) market for Drivers.

In terms of last year’s windfall, a majority of that money was spent on Express (have you seen Express’ new center in Indy??), receiving our raise six months early was peanuts in comparison...we (freight) won’t see anything from this year’s windfall (that was the word during a previous monthly meeting)...

I expect the status quo for freight this Oct, a 1-1.5% raise for road and 3-3.5% raise for city...the latest numbers support it and it’s been that way for the last several years anyways...
