My grandfather worked at the Stroh's Brewery in Detroit Mi. as a truck driver delivering Stroh's beer in the 1930's. He was there for the Teamsters strike that unionized the drivers.
Back in the seventies I had a conversation with my grandfather over a couple of beers and I showed him my Teamster Local 299 membership
card from 1974. He said wait a minuete and then showed me his Teamster local 299 membership card from like around 1935.
