And not only do they kill companies, they're pretty good at killing morale, moving New Penn Albany into that run down dump, at least when you show up for work at New Penn Albany, you have a nice clean well taken care of facility, where employees actually can have a sense of pride, you might as well move them into The prison next door,the new yrc motto,we took your money,now we're taking your pride in coming to work, what assholes

Never seen it this bad.Way to go yrc you sure no how to motivate your employees .Place sucks to come into work now .Im running out of hope that they have any idea how to right the ship.The fiddlers are still playing on the deck of the titanic ,but this ship is listing hard now.
 
New Penn in Troy is a clean well lit facility where everything has a spot. YRC Albany is a demoralizing dump. Doors that dont close, no dock bumpers on any door so the elements come right in, wore out forklifts that exceed 28,000 hours and are fixed 10's by Advance Battery before they are close to being able to run without hesitation. No one has a pallet jack worth a f and they wont order any new ones, dock plates that will tear your arm right out of place because no one ever maintains them and the solution we are told is to put in cone in front of the door.. wtf.. Go next door to Estes and they too are modern, clean, well lit and they have heat in the winter ! The real question is where will all the employees park ? How will you run 300 bills from YRC and another 200-300 for new penn while sharing a 70 door terminal ? The yard guy is going to be BUSY ! I expect a mass exodus and some will end up at Saia a few miles away where they pay nearly $30 an hour for experienced p&d.
 
Saia won't hire New Penn Teamsters around here. Neither of the 2 they opened near us would. Guys applied. Bosses, yes. Teamsters, no. Even with our boss there who would give good reference.Its all our fault and management has nothing to do with the real problem.(in their minds)......which is our right to be in a union.
 
Well saia is opening their self up to a lawsuit if this is the case.I have heard this before that the nons won't hire ex union guys.I know for a fact new Penn guys have interviewed with saia and are going to work for them.I know a ex c.f. driver been working for xpo been there since it was conway.So they do hire ex union guys.If they didn't it would open them up to a discrimination lawsuit for not hiring ex Teamsters .
 
B.S. not hiring cause of union past is FAKE news , Trucking companies are so desperate for Driver's they don't care where you came from or who you are , if you can kinda stand up & breath & sign your name with a X , your hired now days , just look at all these sandal wearing people , no speak or read English ,but drive on roads with English road signs with your family on the same roads ,how safe is that ??? And they was hired by a trucking company !!
 
When the manager of 06 went to SAIA to open a terminal for them when they first started their expansion a few drivers with exceptional records contacted him and he told them straight out he was not allowed to hire them. It’s not BS it’s not fake news, Maybe that’s changed sure way to find out is to quit bitching and put your application in and find out.
 
What kind of lawsuit? There's no law saying they can't hire exTeamsters if they don't want to. They can refuse hiring if they don't like your greagreatgrandmother if they don't want to. Teamsters are not a race.
They are discriminating because you worked for a union company and they won't hire you based on that.I remember when Conway came into the northeast the Hall sent guys there to see if they would hire union guys.Guess what they did!One of the guys is still working for them today.at xpo.
 
Sala had chances to hire a few of our guys with a lot of experience. They would not hire them. No law says that they cannot discriminate against Teamsters.They can't discriminate due to race, religion, or gender. But the Teamsters are not in them categories.

The National Labor relations board clearly states that you cannot be discriminated against because you were part of a union.They could bring charges if employees wernt hired just because they were part of a union,sec8 of the nlrb.
