Ah, But remember everyone pretty much agrees that both is better than one. Which brings me back to this thread and the meaning. Why want just one when you can have both?

Stoney, I didn't read anything in your posts to make me think you are not a teamster. I am glad though that you clarified that you are not bashing the pension. Some people just can't get that. So tell me, do you think both is better than one?

Never a good idea to put all the eggs in one place. And darn it man you know better than to think a 401K is better. I thought I learned you by now..........:biglaugh::hysterical:

of course. you don't see me turning my pension.the pension is essentially free to me. if i continue on my personal plan, i will have
my 401k, pension, god willing social secruity, and be 100% debt free. i think i'll be alright.

Answer him, and explain why you think the teamster pension is so much better. And all of us want to see some figures, and not what the teamsters told you. And do you have it in writing from the teamsters of what you will get? I think no, and I think you never asked. This guy did his homework, and your replys don't make any sense. So, answer him like you know what your talking about.....PLEASE

Oh, and by the way, you just subjected yourself to asking people to do things to this guys truck, and if you were to just hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard, it will be used as evidence in a "Court of Law". You are saved in the computer, and printed out for the lawyers, and Judge to see. Again, thank you for asking people to do things that are against the Law by putting things into this guys truck. And would appreciate it if you would take part of my survey.

Thank you, sometimes its tuff to go against the grain. Like i said, I'm a 3rd generation proud Teamster, I just think the pension is outdated, but thats opinion backed up by facts showing how more and more pensions are failing. I think outside the box, most teamsters long for the way it use to be before deregulation. Well those days ain't coming back. So move on.

By the way it sickens me that my union dues goes to supporting Obama. I wouldn't vote for that radical socialists if my life depended on it. Mcain ain't much better, but I can live with him for 4 years.

Do you actually think the union puts that pension money into their checking account? It's your money that they are dealing with. Oh, and by the way, alot of your dues every month goes into their pocket and wages. That's why they make so much money a year. Ask them if they would do this for free, and let all of us know what they told you. They thrive on ignorance and are very successful at it. You just have to figure it out on your own. You got a brain.....use it
