Sanders, Kaptur introduce bill to restore retirement security for 10 million

Wow. You seem to be a wealth of knowledge on this subject.
It's all out there for anybody to look at. All Jesse Ventura's "dirty laundry" became public when he decided to sue Chris Kyle's widow over what Ventura said was a lie about him in Chris Kyle's book, .American Sniper. (Kyle was murdered by a former US Marine that Kyle was trying to help deal with PTSD back home in Texas in 2013.) Even after Chris Kyle was murdered, Jesse ventura still pushed the lawsuit to go forward. He won a $1.8 million lawsuit filed against Chris Kyle's surviving wife, claiming damage to his reputation. On appeal by Chris Kyle's wife, Taya, the judgement was tossed out in 2016.
Jesse lost and went back to his home in Mexico with his tail between his legs - minus $1.8 million and legal fees. He is dirt that belongs in Mexico and is persona non grata at all SEAL reunions at SEAL Base Coranado because of his lies, about Chris Kyle and his greed in attempting to sue a dead SEAL's wife. He is also a sad part of Minnesota's political history and proof of Minnesota's poor choice of politicians to represent them.

Snl is not funny anymore.
They have their moments.
It's either that or I'm old.
Pepsi! No Coke!
Alot of us here watched it when it started.
Carlin was the first host.
Need to sent the new cast some eightballs. Lol. :17142:

Ha

No, I get it. But just because the Dems (And liberal Republicans) have folded like a deck of cards in the face of a 30 year right-wing onslaught on Labor doesn't mean I'm going to join the right-wing.

It'd be kind of like the guy in The Shawshank Redemption giving in to to "The Sisters."
Please list what the Democrats have done for you (and me) during the last 30 years.
How about NAFTA that Clinton signed? Or more recently, How about the TPPA that Obama signed? How about the Democrat controlled Congress that abolished ERISA in Dec 2014? Obama signed it a day later. What about all the jobs lost under Obama due to EPA rules, like coal mining jobs? What about the millions of illegals crossing our southern borders? Now they are all here wanting gov't handouts and taking American jobs willing to work for peanuts. Obama and the Dems increased food stamp recipients from 29 million to now 49 million.
How about the all Dem controlled Congress turning their backs on a request for help with the CSPF in 2010? The Dems ARE NOT for the blue collar worker any more.
I'm not saying that Repubs are the answer to all thing wrong, but the notion that all Democrats are good for the working class is all wrong.
The Democratic Party has changed dramatically since the 70's. They used to be for the working class, but no more. They have become far left radicals interested in global government and socialism. They no longer have our backs. They are only interested in the "working class" when it comes to getting votes and campaign contributions. The nation as awhole does not matter to them any more. It's all about power and money for the longtime Washington politicians, now. I want our jobs and economy back. The Dems lately, do not seem to care much about that, only Global Warming.

I don't care if he's a comedian, a professional hopscotch player, a socialist, or a mafia don. If he's on my side, he's my man.

Like the billionaire James Welch class, I have my hand out ready to take, voting my own best interests. I may be a fool, but I'm my own fool, not talk radios fool.
We all have the same interests,Saving or pensions and job.Our way of earning and our way of life is under attack,Agree or disagree we are stronger together

Find me a republican that is a supporter of organized labor and I'll vote for him or her.I make living off the backs of people that support the working class.

It's hard to find a Teamster that supports organized labor these days, with only 16.5% of them even bothering to vote in the General Election. Doesn't sound like faith and solid support to me. Only 11% of the entire American workforce is unionized now. The Teamster leaders have poisoned the well. Union corruption is rampant.
The Democratic Party no longer believes in creating jobs for American workers as their #1 priority anymore. Now they are more worried about the "rights" of non-Americans and global warming. The average American worker has been "dumped on" too many times by both the Democrats and the unions, while they both falsely claim to be "for the working class". THAT is why the non-union employers are being chosen more often than the union employers.

"We must all hang together, or most assuredly, we shall all hang separately" Ben Franklin

In a more general sense that quote still applies today when referring to union membership "sticking together".
There is no "sticking together" as one voice through the union anymore (look at the above percentages).
The unions and their power is on the way out. There is no power or leverage any more. The companies know it. The politicians know it. The people looking for a secure job with a future know it. The few that are still optimistic about a union "comeback" can't see the "handwriting on the wall".
I personally want to see a union resurgence more than anybody, but I am also realistic. The well is poisoned.

It's pretty nice. I also like the fact that he wanted to meet with organized labor. Something a president from either side hasn't done in years unless they were looking for a donation.

IMO, it's refreshing.

Not all organized labor only a few unions. But I'll grant you he's "honest" he is 100% behind right to work. And 100% behind wall street. My post was sarcasm. But everyone's entitled to their opinion. How anyone can see this administration as labor friendly is beyond me. By administration I don't just mean the donald. I mean the people he's appointed.

Yes you did give a sarcastic opinion. Funny though, I've never heard him make the statement that he was a 100% behind right to work. Maybe Wallstreet Hilary would have been a better choice. I can only hope that we'll never know. I seriously doubt she would have lifted a finger to help those Carrier A/C workers though.

Your sarcastic remark was a cheap shot at those who thought you were being truthful. Do you feel better now?
I guess YOU forgot to mention how Obama (and Bubba Clinton) were against all jobs for Americans, not only union jobs when they caused many thousands of good jobs and companies to leave the USA under NAFTA, - the highest in the world 35% tax rate on finished goods, - and the latest TPPA deal that would have resulted in many more thousands of lost jobs goinr to Asia, PLUS the many other bad trade deals they made during their administrations I guess the Dems don't want to talk about that. The Dems are not interested in unions or in good jobs. Their main concern is power and money for themselves. They know the only way to regain or keep that power is to get more money and more votes. The easiest place to get big blocks of votes and money is the unions whose members are like sheep being led to slaughter. Nearly 100% of union members do as they are told.
VOTE DEMOCRAT....don't ask why....JUST VOTE DEMOCRAT or your union bosses will NOT be happy.

Speaking of loving Wall Street......Obama collected $400,000 each from two short speeches at Wall St firms a couple weeks ago.
Hillary has collected many times that amount from Wall St firms over the last year or so.....so who's loving Wall Street?

Find me any politician, Republican, Democrat or Independent, that would support any labor movement if all unions cut off all funds going to any of them. You would find ZERO. They all speak empty words prior to an election just to get contributions and votes from union members. Then after the election, they don't even know you exist. They only come back just prior to the next election.
At least President Trump is trying to keep his promises of jobs returning to the US and fewer leaving. At least he is trying to keep his promises in spite of every Democrat in Washington trying to drag him down and prevent the promises of more and better jobs from happening.
Instead the Dems are more interested in bringing in more and more "refugees" and illegal imigrants, claiming they have "Constitutional rights" to be here to take jobs away from real Americans. (Since when do non-Americans have "rights" under the Constitution that was written by and for American citizens?)
