Moved away due to a terrible SCM. I can deal with boneheads but this guy was a real :censored:
Can somebody tell me what influence a bad SCM has on a center? I'm sorry if that sounds so clueless but I think we have a great management team. Even so, what can the SCM do to **** over drivers and dock workers?

Well, our wonderful SCM told 2 drivers that showed up late for a non mandatory meeting, that if they’re F’n late again for an F’n meeting, that he’s gonna F’n fire them...needless to say he used the full version of the incendiary word.

I would just expect a higher authority in management to use non inflammatory vocabulary instead of sounding like the average street thug. Just sayin’
 
Well, now that's pretty BS. I can't even imagine any of our managers acting like that. And we've had a few doozies lately.

Right! Where are all these manly white shirts? Most I’ve encountered are slightly passive aggressive at best.

I’m lucky to work for my FAVORITE SCM ever, but I’ve also seen how bad they can be. But never Tony Soprano bad!!!
 
Hmm let's see here. Put other drivers p and d reports in ppls lockers. Be told by scm that your the worst driver he has when it's clearly not true. I was probably top 5. When you happen to make a decision on a route that ended up going bad and adding 20 min or if something happens that you couldnt help he will chew your ass the next day and puts you on the worst route we have the next day but you cant prove hes doing it in retaliation. Has his favorite and never puts him on that worst route but makes all the other drivers do it occasionally. Swears but who cares however he does it while hes bitching about other employees in front of other employees. Mind you hes been turned in by at least 6 ppl that I know of but nothing seems to happen. However I do believe he is in the hot seat now over some incident I'm not familiar with. Hes successfully ran some of his good employees out of there and now hes struggling to keep new employees in which I hear they struggle to make numbers now. It has gotten to a point to where drivers have to write down what has happened if there are any problems in the day no matter how minor because this said SCM will use it against them in relation to whatever fuels his fire months or weeks later when your memory isnt as clear. He takes others routes and claims that they did it better when he doesnt take into account that everyday has different freight and each day is different ect. No day can be comparable to the last. He had an employee Christmas party and wondered why only half of them showed up. When we did employee surveys when they claimed it was anonymous he would stand from a distance behind you so you would be nervous to speak the truth in fear of retaliation if or if not able to prove. He turns employees against each other by telling you what someone else said about you and naming them and in most cases it's either screwed or not even true just to put you in a corner to drill you on the topic at hand. Oh this is just to name a few bad examples of a bad scm. There are more but I'm afraid I dont have all night
