    The Rev. Al Sharpton has emerged as a kingmaker in the crowded 2020 Democratic field, as the party's White House hopefuls lined up this week to pitch their vision of America to him in hopes of receiving his blessing.

    Among the attendees: former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke; South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg; and U.S. Sens. Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand and Amy Klobuchar.

    Such mainstream influence is a stark change for Sharpton, whose early years of activism put him on the fringes of politics. His explosive comments drew swift criticism, as he was accused of inciting violence and riots against Jews in New York in the early 1990s and reportedly used anti-Semitic descriptions such as “bloodsucking Jews” and “diamond merchants.”

    How is Al Sharpton — the Jussie Smollett of civil rights — still a kingmaker?

    This week, nearly every single Democratic candidate for president — save the otherwise-distracted Joe Biden — has or will appear at Sharpton’s annual convention for his National Action Network, which he calls a charity.

    I just double checked my records. I've never owned a slave and have never even done anything wrong to a minority. So I've got their reparations hanging here.

    Any candidate that spews the racial crap appears to be the next divisive douchebag, just like Obama, and has no business running this country. If they have to pander to this low level they are worthless to this country. They aren't getting reparations of any form so they might as well kick this b.s. issue to the curb.

    And besides, the only people that would owe the Blacks any reparations would be those with a (D) behind their name.

    The reparations issue is so idiotic that the Republicans should be laughing at them. And if they keep pushing the issue,(and I hope they do) Trump should use it to his advantage for 2020. The last time I checked, none of us are responsible for what happened a hundred and fifty years ago. And other than a handful of "white guilt" leftists, this issue will be to the Democrat's demise if they keep pushing it. And if they think that the majority of today's white people want to pay for this kind of b.s., they are living in fantasyland.
