Do you want to know what's happening with your tax dollars? Does it matter if the government you pay for is breaking the law?

In terms of the public knowing what our federal government is up to that's unclassified and not sensitive , it seems like sunlight ( transparency ) helps.

This is not necessarily about whistleblowers. I was listening to an interview of Ken Cuccinelli saying that bureaucrats within the administration that were not political appointees ( but believed to hold a different political view ) are being targeted for removal.

Mostly it seems like this stems from lower level officials informing the press when possibly illegal actions are being pushed by the political appointees.

P.S. Republicans did not allow Ken Cuccinelli to be appointed head of DHS.

** The so-called “whistleblower” Eric Ciarmella is a Democrat who had a “professional” tie to a 2020 Democrat.

** Ciaramella coordinated and took guidance from Adam Schiff’s staff and Schiff lied about it.

** Schiff’s staff recommended attorneys for the so called “whistleblower.”

** Ciaramella was kicked out of the White House for leaking negative storiesabout Donald Trump in 2017.

** Trump-hater Ciaramella was behind the fake story that Putin told Trump to fire Comey — a COMPLETE FAKE NEWS STORY from 2017!

** Ciaramella’s attorneys worked for James Clapper, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and donated to Joe Biden.

** The attorneys for Ciaramella is a member of the #Resistance.

** Ciaramella worked with Joe Biden in the executive branch when he was Vice President.

** Ciaramella traveled with Joe Biden to the Ukraine.

** Ciaramella worked with DNC operative Alexandra Chalupa in the creation of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.

** A former associate of James Clapper, Charles McCullough, assisted Ciaramella with his complaint against Trump.

** And Adam Schiff’s aides, Abigail Grace and Sean Misko worked withCiaramella in the White House.
    Abigail Grace
, who worked at the NSC until 2018, was hired by Schiff in February.

Sean Misko, an NSC aide until 2017, joined Schiff’s committee staff in August, the same month the whistleblower submitted his complaint.

And Schiff kept this a secret from Republicans while he was working with Eric Ciaramella before he filed his complaint in August.

Even if what you point out is 100% correct there's something to remember: eventually the shoe goes on the other foot.

When the rules in the Senate were changed by Harry Reid for the Democrats it came back on them when they were no longer in control.

When Trey Gowdy held the Benghazi hearings and did them in private in the basement it's come back on them.

When the Newt Gingrich and the Republicans went after President Clinton for the Monica Lewinsky scandal Larry Flynt was able to dig up dirt on major Republicans.

Hell , even with President Trump he proposed a wealth tax years ago and now he gives out tax cuts for the wealthy.

My point is shouldn't the Republicans be careful with going after people doing their jobs because like a lot of things in Washington DC , eventually the shoe will be on the other foot.

The shoe is on the the other foot right now. Ever watch the 24/7 hate Trump news?
Leaking to the press isn’t doing ones job, it’s illegal and they should be not just fired but prosecuted.

You have a lot of points to discuss in this post.

First off the Democrats are changing the shoe so to speak, their not even allowing the Presidents representatives to question the whistleblower. And already said they won’t him to testify in public. You have to believe it’s because all the stuff rastus posted above will come out and the American people will see this is bad. You take the worst lowlife criminal to court he has the right to confront his accuser, the President has the same right.

The Benghazi case was a matter of National Security and people that gave information are operatives who need their identity kept secret for their own and their families protections and they may have discussed highly classified matters.

I benefited from the tax cuts just like most Americans including the wealthy, Just because the Democrats turn it into a talking point for political points don’t make it a case to support impeachment and create BS charges if people don’t like what Trump did with tax cuts there’s a system in place for them, we call it an election and they can go vote against him.

Lastly it’s the Democrats going after people for doing their jobs. Remember Sarah Sanders being confronted going to dinner with her children ? They cheered and told people to do more of it. The President is doing his job, they might not like what he’s doing or how he’s doing it but he got elected. To quote Obama “ If they want to change things they have to win elections” They learned nothing from what Harry Reid’s stunt caused them. And yes we taxpayers should know what Joe Biden, his son and brother did.

Everyone is waiting for his irrefutable proof President Trump colluded.
Nadler was such a miserable failure Pelosi had to move to the corrupt liar Adam Schiff’s committee.

The government has been "ruling" via unelected Regulatory Bureaucrats for Decades. Virtually all of those "Czars" are Career Statists, believing themselves Resistant and "above" lowly Elected Officials. That attitude is Exactly why Trump won his election, and is exactly what Trump is expected to OUT, by his citizen base...

The government should operate in the open
and the government needs to lay off about 1/2 its workers
no reason 2,000,000 people (excluding the people that work for the post office) should be working there

I think the Republicans are trying to pull the wool over your eyes with this stuff about the House doing secret stuff, that poor Trump can't defend himself.

No he can't at the present time and thats because he's not on trial.
At the present time this is like the police department building a case with the direction of the States attorneys office.
When they do that the perp doesn't get to listen to and intimidate the witness's.
What is going on in the House is developing a case to vote on, that vote will decide if Trump is impeached and sent to the Senate for trial.
If he is impeached he will have ample time during the trial in the SENATE for all you say he should be doing now.
Wait until it gets to the Senate, and remember thats run by Republicans that will certainly favor their crook.

Something to watch out for is Trump intimidating witness's by his tweets, his speeches at public rally's and his behind the scenes instructions. Remember Manafort and his cohort were home out on bail, when they intimidated a witness against them and were immediately put in jail

if it gets through the House
McConnell votes day one that the process was tainted and unfair and the senate refuses to hold the trail
game over, Dems look stupid again
this is purely partisan, the non partisan party was against impeachment
but go ahead pick this hill to die on

I was listening to someone talking about how this would go ( impeachment ) and Senate Leader McConnell doesn't control the process once it starts it's the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court , John Roberts who presides over the impeachment process in the Senate.

Why Impeachment Could Be a Nightmare for Chief Justice John Roberts
“I can think of no task I think the Chief wants less than to have that thrust upon him,” Megan Brown, partner at Wiley Rein, said at a Federalist Society panel on Oct. 2.

There’s no way for Roberts to get out of it; his role in any impeachment trial is mandated by the Constitution. Article I Section 3 reads, in part: “When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside.” The framers named the chief justice to preside over an impeachment trial to highlight the gravity of the process, and the move had a practical component. The Vice President is the leader of the Senate, but in the case of an impeachment trial, he has an extraordinary conflict of interest: he would take over the presidency if the Senate trial results in a conviction. The appointment of the chief justice to oversee the trial eliminates that problem.

Roberts is in charge- yes- but it’s the third step. The First Step is for the Charges to be read. The Second Step is for the senate to vote by Majority, 51%, to Accept those Charges and have a trial. IF it passes, then the Chief Justice presides. McConnell is still in charge until it passes. It can easily be dismissed, and never happen.

So far, the Dems are hiding everything in secret, and not playing fair as in past Impeachment hearings. 50 Repub Senators have signed a Resolution to reject non-normal, non-Open hearings rules. VP Pence would be allowed to cast the 51st vote (because the trial hasn’t begun yet) dismissing the trial if all Repubs stick to their word. This is not new. Robert Byrd tried a similar tactic during the Clinton Impeachment, and the effort failed.

If the Senate would refuse the work of the House totally offhand we got problems.
19 republican Senators will be up for reelection next year that may not be the face they want to present to the voters.

Ex Klansman, Senator Robert Byrd introduced such a tactic in the 1990s. I understand that YOU, in the Leftist- Most 10% of the nation, want nothing but to overturn the 2016 Election, but most are tired of this BS. Go ahead, waste time, destroy careers, roll out fake leaked testimony. I’m rooting For McConnell to dismiss this bunk in less than 30 minutes, and we move on to Republican Landslides next Nov.

Susan Collins is the really iffy one. Maybe, Gardner or Alexander, but I expect them to dismiss. The rest are no doubters to dismiss...

If Schiff continues this mockery, I expect that Collins puts Schiff in his place, as she did Democrats, in the Kavanaugh Hearings...

Harry Reid sat on 450 Bills the House passed, and refused to let them be voted on. Various Senates reject House Bills routinely. This impeachment is a sham. A Coup de ta, attempt at overthrowing an election. A 2020 Presidential Campaign because you have nothing to run on.

Once the Horowitz Report comes, and Durham begins indictments, voters will not be wanting to wait to throw Dems out...
