but what are those 'better working conditions'

Free health insurance in exchange for several hundred dollars per week less???

Don't forget, those weekly health care premiums you pay are after takes are taken out. So your weekly payment is already taxed @ about 25%. If you pay 100.00 per week for family coverage, think 125.00 a week. Closer to the true cost. The government should make our Medical payments completely exempt from taxes. @ ABF I was blessed for 18 years never having to pay weekly premiums. With a yearly low out of pocket, free cat scans & MRI’s using the right vendor. I was way ahead money wise working under a good union contract with good benefits. Now, to get those benefits, I paid 60 bucks a month in dues. But based on non-union medical premiums, day & night I would chose a union job. Will they have to start paying for medical? More than likely. But until then jump on board & ride it till the wheels fall off. Von.

Health care benefits are generally tax free, so the $200 per week lower pay for 40 house at YRC is worth free healthcare????
Not to mention the loss to inflation or the 75% cut to pension payments..
But don't worry some Socialist Democrats are promising a European style 'free healthcare' program.
Totally free just a 20% Value Added Tax on everything you purchase.. But it's free... or you can purchase a private policy in addition to the free healthcare like in the UK. All because the free healthcare stinks....
Your choice...
