Dayton | Starbucks stores

I can see why.You could sit the pallet by the backdoor and be in and out in 10 minutes but they would rather have you break it all down and drag it all into the middle of the store during peak business, just so they can carry it back to the storage room right next to the back door. I guess since Dayton is performing all these services for free why not right?

Sysco, US Food, Gordon, etc...etc... are use to that style of deliver... and they don't even want it.

Pyle does Starbucks also. Hell, we even have them as a dedicated account. The roasting plant is close enough to our York terminal you can smell it

The Saia terminal I work at only has one Starbucks it's a dock drop @ Target. The others we haven't delivered to in years.
Good deal, I know all my buds at Saia are glad when they lose it and cuss when they get it back. They’ve still got it in my area, I guess the only plus is a free cup of fancy coffee when you get done.

How could Starbucks be any worse than where Sysco and such del to. They bring bags of rice, flour, sugar down basement stairs in city locations. They del to every type of food place, bring it all inside on had trucks.

I did food service deliveries for a couple of years in my younger days, those places were charged premium for their groceries.

Couple of things that makes places like Starbucks a pain and less profitable is because whoever does it in the foodservice end is just acting as 3rd party logistics and only delivering Starbuck Corp owned supplies and getting basically just a delivery and warehousing fee's rather than gaining higher profit from selling them actual product, also they have to setup separate billing, accounting and customer service agents, another thing at those type businesses is they can be real demanding and have ditzy employees and managers, I did food service and dealt with simular.

Starbucks on the Indiana toll road are being converted into Dunkin Doughnuts , I can handle that !

Back in the 90's! I delivered to Starbucks. The company would load 10 stops on a liftgate City Flyer. I loved it, only got 3 Stops done in 11 hours. Once the unit was even towed, Because I parked in a Bus Stop. We did'nt have the account more than a year. Good Times!
