WAVERLY - Steven A. Outain Sr., 60, of Waverly died Friday, May 1, 2009, at his home.
He was born April 6, 1949, in Oceanside, CA, the son of Benjamin and Zandra Wines Outain. He married Carol Fleck-Woosley in 1993 and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons; David of AZ, Steven Jr of AR, and Clayton of LaSalle; four sisters, Wanda Evans of KS; Sheryl Wright of MO, Jeanine Burch of KS, and Michelle Kernel of OK; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He also claims Julie (Woosley) Morton as the daughter he never had and Russell Morton as the brother he wished he would have had. He was proud of Jerad Woosley, his 4th son, and the business he built for himself, and grandson William Morton who he knows will do something wonderful with his life.
Steven drove for Consolidated Freightways 24 ½ and Yellow Transportation for three years. He was a Teamster of 30 years, and went by the handle "misfit" on the CB.
Steve loved woodworking, and loved to build. He was an avid reader and enjoyed his computer and TV.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Neece Funeral Home in Waverly with burial in Waverly East Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time.
