Super Bowl commercials..

It's funny while it sounds really expensive to advertise during the Superbowl, it's also a really good value for the advertisers, if you really think about it what 100 million people or so watch the Superbowl, 4,000,000/100,000,000

The advertiser is paying $0.04 per viewer to get the message out, that's not really a bad deal when you figure all the people you are reaching. I'm mean a spray and prey mail campaign would cost more then $0.04 to get there message out.

Say Pizza Joe's sends out coupons really that advertising in the dollar stretcher magazine or just direct mail is more costly per person then the Super Bowl plus they are not reaching as many people sending out mailers and things.

That's always how it goes in manufacturing the more units you make the cheaper it is per unit. It costs more money to per widget to make 10 widgets then it does to make 100,000 widgets. When I worked at the Metal Fabricator had quantity pricing for our product line and the more you bought the cheaper it was for price.

Same with advertising a $100,000 commerical that only 1,000,000 people see now cost the advertiser $0.10 cents per viewer to get there message out. Where a mass quantity wise the Super Bowl ad only costs $0.04 per viewer.

That's how they justify it all, per viewer you only spent $0.04 to advertise during the Super Bowl vs any other time.

Some people remember the funny commercials and some remember the cute ones. But often we forget what the product that they were selling was because of the alcohol.
