Yellow | #TBT....YRCW Execs Get Huge Bonuses

I know these guys and gals at the top have a lot on their plate, and probably sleepless nights, but damn they get paid a lot of money... SOB.....LOL

Hats off to the manager that wrote that letter, he's absolutely right in every regard. Sounds like a manager with a head on his shoulders unlike the executives and their rubber stamp Board Of Directors that are colluding to pillage this company.

Living off our blood and sweat.
We get nothing but a check and insurance. No future.
They get security off our 15 percent. That's where the bonuses come from. At least some of it.
Sad... Just sad..

Then you should concentrate on the ones that hired these bloodsuckers, the Board of Directors...

I don't know BRG, if I had all this mess on my plate, and trying to keep people working, I would have a nightcap before I went to bed... If I didn't give a crap, then that would be different...

I look at it as what the Hostess executives got paid in bonus' approved from a judge just to help shut the doors when they closed! Think Zollars sleeps well? He too just moved on to the next victim. Although it is the Untited Way in KC.

Of course he sleeps good, he pulled the Deal of the Century off with Hoffa....

:9529: They're scum.

They're scum? Why is that, because they're working for the compensation that was offered to them? As if you wouldn't accept a big pay check if it were offered to you (as would any one of us).

CEO compensation level increases at most all corporations in the US have outpaced the average worker pay level increases and grown to obscene levels in recent decades. That's a fact and none of us at the worker levels like it. But please don't tell me that you or me or anyone else would turn down the chance to make that kind of big money if we were in a position to do so. Let's not be hypocritical at least.

Spoken like a true "Company Man".

I suppose I'd rather be ignorant than a suckhole know it all.

By making an ignorant comment attacking me rather than contesting or refuting what I said you've already shown that you're nothing but a plain ordinary jerk. When you grow up and show where what I said was incorrect I'll give you credit for at least having some intelligence. But I'm not holding my breath.

How many people you think would have voted differently
Had they been told if the MOU is voted in these guys would take bonuses ?
They did say the situation was dire and the company could go out of business.

Keepingon, I can't really say how people would have voted. Like I said in my earlier post, CEO compensation at most every corporation in the US is obscene. That's a whole bigger issue than what we are dealing with here.

In our case, as I understand it, most of the bonus is in the form of shares of the company. In my opinion that's a good thing as it gives the executives the incentive to get the company performing better so the the share price will rise and they will earn more in the end. On the other hand, it certainly does look bad for them to get bonuses when we've taken cuts. I get it, the image is bad. But I also look at it this way. I would say that executives that are hired to come in to try to run a company that is already in trouble have a lot more to deal with than with a company that is profitable and running smoothly. It's like having to pay more for a doctor who is a specialist when you have some serious disease that your neighborhood physician can't handle as well. You and others can disagree with me on that but that's how I see things. Believe me I get it with how we all feel about taking pay and benefit cuts. Nobody likes that. Some think it's all a scam and no discussion will convince them otherwise. With all the evidence presented, I believe taking the cuts saved us from a Ch.11 filing and a probable shutdown. Other will disagree. In this day and age when unionized ltl trucking is almost all gone and our main competition is non-union, we need to be realistic about conditions. Now go ahead, fire away, I have my flame resistant suit on.
