The company hasnt said a word, if Soehl was worried about freight being pulled off our trucks, maybe he shouldn't be stating his opinion on a nationwide conference call with customers and analysts listening!!...Dumb Azz!!

Most customers and analysts already know and understand what he's talking about. He's trying to make sure we Teamster employees understand what could happen.

most of the main ones with all the reasons why they are voting no are the ones that arent ready for the reprocussions, then gonna be crying about it
The company isn't saying this, The Union and their specialists are
Try worrying about what the executives and management make at your next job
let them know you don't like paying for your insurance
tell them you don't want to work for a year just to get 1 week off
ask em to honor your seniority while you're
But also while you're kissing ass at the interview because you trying to "support your family"
tell them why you didn't leave 10 or 5 years ago if it's so bad here, don't let em wonder why you didn't come kissing ass earlier
let em know that you know they don't want thousands of ex teamsters at their company but you'll file a lawsuit if they don't hire you lol, one of the funniest ever but anyway
even before then, please explain to us why you would go somewhere you hate everyday and everywhere else the grass is so much greener,FOR 10 YEARS, EVERYDAY...Then want to close it down
if you don't think the powers that be dont see the dumb[smart] asses coming a mile away from looking at us on here and the facebook page, then You must believe full pay in the pension that has 200000 being paid to with 50000 paying in is a bright idea

Consider this, just a few months ago, shippers had to deal with and scramble to move their freight when UPS stopped picking up freight because of the uncertainty of a strike. Do you really think that a traffic manager for any company is going to wait until the last minute to make other arraignments for their freight if there is a no vote? I don't think they have that short of a memory.
If I was a traffic manager, I would already be moving freight to other lines so I'm not stuck at the last minute.
Scare tactic? I'd say it's reality plain and simple.

The warning is from the union not the co.pany and you still don't believe it.
Wtf wrong with you hard heads?
Why don’t the union just say this; look guys the only ones that are going to make out are. The banks (Highinterest loans) executives of Yrc ( excessive salaries they’ve already gotten their bonuses) The union (dues money). Now vote yes and be glad you got a job !!

ABF said they would close if we didn’t take the deal YRC took. Funny enough I’m still working for them. A corporate accountants job is to pay the least amount of taxes possible. You could work for free and they would still show meager profits. They just put it into dividends for stock holders and give huge bonuses. Anything left over pays bank interest. It’s funny, ABF has never paid profit Sharing with us. The only time they hit the mark was amazingly when our contract was up and no one got it.

These were our union accountants going over the books.
The stocks and dividends aren’t relevant to our operating expenses.
Another thing SAC75 is this isn’t the company telling us this, it’s our union.

We're not going out of business with a no vote on the first offer, its a scare tactic to members, the customers werent thinking that until he made the statement, very irresponsible!

Think of 5 major accounts at your barn and ask yourself if you were the CEO of any of those companies would you risk putting your freight on one of our trailers after we voted down our contract with the possibility of a shutdown?

falconfan, I really think it's a lost cause trying to reason with these guys. The customers ARE watching, the union is telling them. All they will understand is when the show up for work and the gate's locked.

Really, save your energy for something more productive than talking to a brick wall.

You are right.

not only the customers are watching.. so are competitors..my friend at fedex frt said that this morning his terminal manager was talking about our contract in case we vote it down..obviously they want us to go under..
