the 136 liz terminal is vacant for over 7 months at $72 thousand a month plus twenty four seven security I imagine it is close to 1oo grand a month to have a terminal sit vacant how many other terminals yrc closed and is still paying rent on across the country but we should give another five years

It's still cheaper to shutter a terminal. What's your point? If the facility is redundant it should NOT be used.

Kernersville pretty new and paid off.pretty much sitting but paying $100k a month to lease the dump 70 miles south.
2 posts and $172,000.00 a month in wasted money ?
add on ill bet we can find enough waste to pay off all the bills owed by tomorrow.

how is it cheaper you are not saving money closing one to go rent another and still pay rent you must be driking the same kool aid yrc s upper management does

it is cheaper to run freight 60 plus miles to a break, plus drops and hooks, down and back, then work ot at the break, to avoid ot at the satellite

it is better to leave 120 plus shipments already billed sit six miles away, and send a man 35 miles one way to pick up a single damaged box of candy, with 2 guys in the same town, same industrial park and have the dock sit idle only to work that freight on ot. later., or drag back the loads that aren't billed, while dock sits idle, while billed loads sit at the customer.

Don't forget over $100,000 a year in property taxes on the ridge.

that may be true where you are but in the metro ny area where most of your big money companies are it takes 3 to four hours to go 60 miles that's the problem management looks on a map and says
oh its only two inches how long could it take to drive there is a reason they had all this small satellite terminals it worked
