TFI may seek a different approach in Teamsters talks for TForce Freight - FreightWaves

TFI CEO Alain Bédard may want to set TForce Freight wages based on worker geographies instead of one uniform structure in upcoming talks with the Teamsters.

Teamster officials in Iowa say they will not negotiate anything less than what Coop drivers make. Coop and TForce exchange freight to and from Iowa to points in Canada. Coop Logistics drivers currently are paid $39.67 per hour, with OT after 4 hours, along with free health care, and a $25,000 a year contribution to each drivers 401k. They also get a free half of beef every 6 months, 6 weeks vacation after 1 year, 20 sick days, 14 paid holidays, double time Saturday’s, triple time Sunday’s, and free passes to Daisy Dook’s, in Davenport.

Its going to be interesting to say the very least. Hopefully the same knuckle heads that negotiated this contract won't be involved on the next.
