When you live long enough things today is pretty close to what they told stories on decades ago.
One difference. We remember some of the stories and we know what America is supposed to be. at least in our house. It is easier later in life to fight when you have lived a good run and the losses are not too difficult to bear.
Now if you are young on the other hand you have not yet lived. And that I think is the great loss.
