The Estes Grinch strikes again. We was suppose to be off friday and monday for the Christmas holliday and was told by dispatch since they cancelled runs thursday night due to weather we had to work monday to make up for it. So after wasting a day sleeping and then showing up at the terminal for several hours until they figured out what they were going to do. They then tell us the runs have been cancelled and will be working monday to make it up and if we dont work monday no holiday pay. So those who had already made plans for friday and monday got the Estes Scrooge over. Leave it to a truck line to always put profit over family. Lose a whole day because they wouldnt pay attention to the weather reports.Was even told nothing is going to happen they always over hype the weather. Some poor drivers got about 50 or so miles into their run and was called back and cancelled and they will be working monday. Just my gripe and i will get over it but Estes could have handled this better without punishing the drivers for them dropping the ball.
 
My buddy drives for a barrel co. , they made him run in bad weather , got stranded on 65 , national guard took him to a school gym he called his boss and the boss thought it was a lie and that he was messing around at a casino so he put the national guard commander on the phone and the boss simmered down

Your buddy still owes me 10.00 bucks for Sounding like a National Guard officer. Seriously, that is messed up. I work at the Holland division of yeller and even we had a sign off sheet for Friday and Monday. The only guy i saw running on Friday was fed up ground
 
I wonder if Webb knows how Central operates. I kinda doubt they would be doing stuff like this. Last week they made me do 5 lay downs even though I had a note to be back home Friday morning. No wonder they can’t keep new drivers.
Id say its the terminal managers and transportation managers they get some kind of bonus if budget is kept down and freight constantly moving. Thats why they have drivers names on the bad list for over idling and over rpms etc. Funny though they never have to work their scheduled days off.

Dispatchers threaten drivers with no holiday etc and wonder why drivers dont like them. I know they dont care but then you **** the drivers and they dont care . They dont care about your idling your over rpms your braking hard your this your that then you have a company costing itself. When you are a trucking company your drivers are your bread and butter and when you treat them like crap then in return you get your just due paid back.
