I deleted the posts in ABF v YRC....it was NEVER intended to be a us vs them thread. Some where seeing it that way.
The best way to put an in to t was to delete it all and move on.

We both have been screwed over by our companies. YRCW's first votes was an act of survival, and that ABF's was an act of greed. Now faced with the second vote, after a LONG voting process at ABF, it was passed. The IBT failed miserably in protecting the members working conditions by even agreeing to vote on issues such as farming out Linehaul work and reducing road bids from 75% to 60%....these have been the mainstays of the NMFA since 1964.

Now comes YRCW after years of concessions by the employees, only to **** it away by grossly mis-managing the day to day operations and wasting our 15% in doing so. When we try to suggest them a better and cheaper way, we just get the cold shoulder and are told to "just drive the truck and follow my instructions."

Now they are coming back with some of the same line of concessions, and even some that are worse to demand we be allowed to vote on them.

It is up to OUR LOCAL LEADERS to go to that meeting on December 6th and ask WHERE ARE OUR PROPOSALS?

B sure to contact your Local Leaders and let them know how you feel, PRO & CON!

These proposals should have NEVER been accepted by the Committee to take to a 2-Man meeting in the first place.

But, ultimate, it will fall in to the hands of the members to vote yes or no, because that will be the IBT and our Local's chicken manure way out of it....then when it turns to more crap later, their response will be...."Well, the majority of the members voted for it, what can we do?"

Yeah... I voted Yes on the first ones....and I have sen the results, or lack thereof, and if this comes to a vote, I WILL BE VOTING NO....nothing will change that.

Please be informed, and vote YOUR own personal convictions....

Have a Safe & Happy Thanksgiving with your families....KK

I agree, I will be voting NO also. We have given them so much already and I may even support things staying the same for a couple of years but, for them to come back and want more and to farm jobs away from those that helped to try to get them back on their feet is just a total slap in the face. I think it is time for them to close if they can not make things work. Let them be without jobs along with the rest of us.

YRC asks for consetions and gets them. ABF does the same and is rejected. ABF buys Panther and now wants to use them for pulling line haul freight. Welch shows up and asks to buy ABF.ABF union members vote in loss of vacation, pay and work rules. Now YRC wants to take ot, pay from non cdl, use of purchased transportation. If I said something stinks here would I be out of line? Seems two co.s conspirering together. Just a thought.

Read the script please

This whole thing seems so "scripted" to me. After making alittle $$$ cry poor and ask for more like a spoiled brat. Being in business all these years and now all of a sudden we don't know how to make money. there is a reason they are coming at us during this time of year to put pressure on us cause of the holidays and I betcha they won't lay off yet cause they don't want to **** more people off to a no vote.

There is an active war within our rank & file with an outside force nipping at our members spirit. Instead of "giving us something without a hook.' This company has muddy up the waters on purpose. Like I said this is scripted........:27::27:

The war between rank and file started the minute they dovetailed the yellow and roadway roster. Theyve since set up the perfect storm that's in their favor.

Really? What are you thinking? Oh yeah, you're new to the whole seniority thing.

Just stir up more unnecessary old crap and skip addressing the issue.

The goal of YRC is to hav thousands of disgruntled employees, who come in everyday with the intention of helping YRC in any way possible with their plan to run the company into the ground. YES WE CAN !!

You state the reason that you deleted the ABF vs YRC thread was because it was never intended to be “a us vs them thread”. That I agree with because I read that first post of the member who started it as I’m sure you did. You also say that some were seeing it that way.

IMO it really was not intended that way but it was your post that turned it in that direction. Tell me…how else would one interpret this post of yours:

What you are now stating is that some were seeing it that way but neglect to mention the fact is it was you…yourself that was the one responsible for some…as myself that saw it that way. So…in reality…you delete…not close…the entire member’s thread which was clearly not intended to be what you made it out to be…right? Tell me…are you in the habit of always just deleting whole threads because of your mistakes and posts that show you in a bad light? Also IMO…you are abusing your Mod status by deleting that whole thread because it was you that was shown to be the culprit of starting the disruption of the forum…which I too claim my responsibility by continuing on with it…just like I’m doing here…but I’ll always state my opinion no matter what the consequences and why I will not complain about the temporary ban I received. That’s the reason why the IBT is getting away with what they are today…because the majority of the Rank and File remain silent and not speaking up on how they really feel!

One thing that I am proud of…it’s the way some of the ABF Teamsters rallied and showed true solidarity and confronted that descending demeanor of yours towards the ABF Teamsters…which you being an ex local union official and all would have been nice if you would of also seen it that way. The Rank and File will have to support each other and start showing this kind of solidarity no matter which company one works for if the Rank and File ever wants to put an end to the screwing by both…the companies and IBT!

Now…if you feel you must discipline me for not just dropping and getting over it…intentional forum disruption or calling out a Mod…then so be it.

Great Post Docker!!! You are spot on...

Has anyone seen Docker he got loose again? He left a note saying he had something to clear up. All joking aside nobody can make a post like that and not expect to get an ear full from abf Teamsters. Now whether or not you made a mistake in the manner in which it was posted or it is the real way one feels replies should have been expected. But punish someone because they replied to a post accusing abf Teamsters for the troubles at yrc is questionable. I myself think that anyone who voted yes to any of this mess is to blame and the vote count and the actions of both companies proves that statement to be a fact. Was kk wrong to blame the abf Teamsters YES was Docker wrong to question kk I don't think so but that is for each and everyone on here to decide.

I think that we need to admit our indiscretions and move on. After all one can delete a thread but that does not mean people can forget what was said. YOUR STILL LOOKING FOR DOCKER BROTHER ALWAYS!

WHY CRUCIFY YOUR ONLY HOPE FOR THE FUTURE?

With all due respect KK you said the ABF Teamsters were duped into voting for a bad contract which started all this flexibility crap. Well I will give you that one, but ABF even got help from YRC with the buyout crap and other outside forces. I just have one question did any of you guy’s over at YRC even consider what effect voting in three rounds of concessions would have on the NMFA or the ABF Teamsters? I can answers that question with a big hell NO. To use a quote you may have heard before “LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE”. My last question would be why would you cast that stone or you without sin? That ban was wrong and uncalled for!!!
