A federal appeals court in Philadelphia on Thursday upheld a trucking company's creative exit from bankruptcy after lenders paid off creditors' lawyers but left fired drivers with unpaid damage claims.
Two judges of the Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted to uphold a settlement reached in the case of Jevic Transportation Co ., a New Jersey trucking business that shut down suddenly and filed for bankruptcy in 2008....
