The Lessons of I-95

People who own EVs found out about these limitations during one of the regularly occurring hurricanes that hit Louisiana and the gulf area a few years back; many didn’t have the luxury of time to charge – in time to get away from the hurricane.

But at least they didn’t freeze.

Keep in mind that EVs generate heat by “burning” electricity. It takes a lot of electricity to power an electric heater; ask any homeowner who has a heat pump or baseboard electric heating, the latter being the type of heater most EVs have.

How much “range” on that?

Enough to stay warm – and alive – for 27 hours?

Hybrid is the way to go not full electric!
I agree but they are pushing for full EV both for passenger as well as commercial vehicles. This was a lesson in the limited ability of these vehicles when it comes to weather events as well as long range.

Set aside the fact that you have to burn fossil fuels to charge them, the fact that combustion vehicles naturally produce heat/excess heat in situations where weather becomes a factor pure EV can become a death sentence.

the way to fix this of course is the New Green Deal
this plan will stop the seas from rising, end snow, hot weather, weather in general
it will only cost you ever dollar produced by this country
while of course China and India will continue on
Don’t leave out Russia- they are rationing Nat Gas to Europe now at the same time France and Germany are shutting down their Nuke Plants

Just like in Kazakhstan you are seeing people not only protesting the mandates , but the rising energy prices and shortages of basic staples
Things are high down here also.
A guy made a police report, someone stole $175 worth of groceries from his car.
The policeman asked if he had his car locked.
I sure did, had them all locked in the glove compartment!
