Post merger 33000! 1 yellow will be have there size! Until they go bankrupt, or want another 15 percent, reduced medical, rule changes, it’s coming soon my brother! Buckle up! Yellow like I said cancer of the industry! Not a freight company for 40 yrs

If you did leave TruckingBoards, you would probably stay gone and then show back up a few weeks later…………….again!!!
You know you would miss me.
It's my duty to be the voice of reason. My responsibility to defend the capitalist system that has made America great against those who pretend to love democracy but want to return to the communist system of government regulation of industry and commerce. It is my duty to speak out against the confiscation of hard earned wages through forced union membership.

Regulated trucking.
Is there anything more Socialist than the government setting prices and controlling the market?
The biggest socialism ever and $30 trillion in debt came from your favored deregulated business model. And free trade across borders.

Regulated might mean nationalist.
But I don't consider it socialist.

Municipalities, counties and states have border.
The nation has borders.
Home owners have borders.
All of them are responsible to an extent of what goes on inside them borders.
And they are responsible for the budgets within those borders.

Charging a fee is more a form of capitalism than the socialism which resulted from your free for all of anarchist deregulation.

Your system was also a redistribution of wealth.
From people who could afford the fee. Taking it from them and giving it to others. Also taking the union work and giving to others lessened the tax intake of the localities.

Instead of the previous business paying the fee and locality benefitting.
The locality might lose jobs. Foreigners move the freight for cheaper.

Families are divided and wrecked due to no rules.
Single parent families increase.
Drug/alcohol problems increase.
All hitting the local, countyand state tax bills.

Banks. Central world banks are the only real beneficiary.
And they never really lose.
They own the Federal Reserve . It is not a government agency The Fed changes things so they never lose.
Many loans were needed and given and many default on them loans.
Who picks up the tab?
We do.
Cheap goods are not worth the loss of good paying jobs which give dignity.
Dignity in all the guys who slept in trucks for how many years for how much pay for all them years since 1980? I don't think the exchange was worth it.

It's not a free market either.

It's better for people to earn enough to buy their own home than to buy cheap junk to put in it and then fill the landfill which is also costly.

I was hoping to get updates on how good or bad the changes were going out west but all I got was arguing over pension and other nonsense
Well it’s a disaster. New freight lanes swapping empties. Not enough trucks pay drivers sitting home. Paying drivers to stay in hotel’s all week. Rocky sets meeting doubles. 3 axles meeting 2 axles. Getting kicked out of meet point locations. Cops getting called for dropping sets I. Neighborhoods because location terminal is too small. Drivers dropping like flies because YRC dispatching are rude assholes jerking around drivers. Drivers sitting for 6-8 hours at meeting points and then turning around to go back home. All in all like a well oiled machine…

I see socialism as forced taxation to take care of people that's needs are not being met in the market.
Meaning the market is not providing enough jobs.
Or the jobs which are available are not paying enough to meet those needs.
The jobs are not paying a livable wage.
The jobs are not providing health insurance.
The jobs are not paying enough for housing and food.
I prefer unions over socialism.

Regulation allows for union strength.
That strength meets needs in the market under contract and changes the economic rules from a few very wealthy worldly assholes to the people who actually live here participating in setting economic rules.

As it is under your ways.....which has brought more education and more incredible wealth to the wealthiest ever......there is more need for socialist programs and brought more socialism than ever.
And more national debt and more personal debt than ever.

It only benefits the top....for the top even are the beneficiaries of socialist programs for their relationship with politicians also gives their companies the contracts which the socialist money is spent on.

Your economics are unhealthy for the nation, the people of the nation.
They are only good for the wealthiest.

You worry about business being regulated or forced, but overlook the forced taxation passed onto all citizens due to no regulation.

1974 our debt to GDP ratio was 31%.
It has never gone lower since your economic theories were "installed".

It is at its highest ever this year.
124%.

"The debt-to-GDP ratio is useful for investors, leaders, and economists. It allows them to gauge a country's ability to pay off its debt. A high ratio—like 101%—means that a country isn't producing enough to pay off its debt. A ratio of 100% indicates just enough output to pay debts, while a lower ratio means enough economic output to make debt payments."

We performed a coup in Ukraine for the IMF in 2011 or 2014 which started this mess. Somewhere back there...in 2015...Ukraine's ratio was only 77%
That's a tipping point.

Multinational businesses and dual citizens don't care about the nation because they can use it till it's dry and leave us here with the debt they acquired for us.

Your outlook says..."So what. That's just fine and dandy and a great business plan. Get rich and sink a whole nation."

Will there ever come a time when you wake up and realize that your economic teachings are destructive........maybe when we are all in a 10 mile bread line starving?

I’m ok with that. Holland and Reddaway ran about the same. Yellow is an absolute disfunction. It’s amazing to witness and be apart of. I hear Interstate 5 going north and south are all backed up and not moving. So California has close to 1000 doors worth of dock between a handful of terminals. And they can’t figure out simple geography. Planning on the fly is a terrible idea. Holy hell…
