The voting rights bill

Kind of hard to debate someone who thinks like you! Please tell us specifically how an individual is unable or denied the right to vote? If you can show this we need address it immediatel!
The voting rights bill would allow for no excuse absentee voting, expand the voter registration process and make Election Day a Federal Holiday with other provisions. Now….. I’m not saying you’re a Republican but most of the pull back against this particular bill is overwhelmingly Republican. Especially in the wake of all the unfounded accusations of voter fraud brought by Mr Trump and his followers both public and private. Bringing Democracy to its knees was unethical and unquestionably a blow to our nation’s core values. It brought us into a hostile environment waging Democrat’s against Republican’s. Why? Because Mr Trump lost? Part of being who we are is accepting sometimes we lose. That’s a fact of life. Losing with a smile on your face and acceptance of that fact makes us men. Our resilience to come back and try again is what we’re made of. That’s what makes the United States the greatest nation on earth. Thank you for giving me a reason to reply!

If the bill is so great, why is the support for and against it right down party lines?
If you can't win, just change the rules. That's okay if they do though, because they won't be in power forever.

I'd say that reciprocity (nationwide gun laws versus statewide) would be a good start for our first simple majority bill.

Never happen, although the supreme court might sledgehammer it through anyway.

Look at NY. Just to have the opportunity to buy a pistol, you have to go through a 6 month or more registration and permit process. It's in the supreme court right now, and it looks like this century old law based on racism is going to be shot to pieces.

This is the problem with the country. There's a need for a divorce, because our ideas aren't compatible anymore. Everywhere away from the metros in NY no one agrees with the overbearing state laws.

Yep. Same thing in California.
Now how about the ones that get mixed in with your local Mexican market ads and the smiling local realtor flyers?

Apparently it’s a lot easier to show up at the polling place where any illegal can vote.
The Absentee ballot looks like a better system. Don’t need to get rid of that.
But how about them junk mail ones these past elections?
