R&L | Think they could spare it?

$32.99 in the northeast. Well under most of the competition up here plus most of them have some form of time and a half too.

The FedWrex barn not too far from us pays it but they try to make sure nobody gets any. From what I hear they’ll pull ya off yer run if yer gettin close and/or give ya the day off

Too much weird ::shit:: goes on at the other companys to wanna jump ship over that, like the damn two seniority lists, rebid runs every 6 months, and havin to deal with slip seating. If thats the price to pay for T-1/2, Ill pass

Amen to that. Lots of other perks at R+L, and the fact they don’t micromanage, at least at most terminals, makes it worth it. We’re basically our own bosses out there.

We’re right in line with everybody else here give or take a few cents. We’ve actually had 3 FedEx guys come on board here because they can make more here. They said they weren’t allowing them to go over 40 hrs a week, so no OT. We’ve also had 2 Estes guys start recently. Both guys had been there 15+ years, and tired of the local TM’s crap. They’re both as happy as can be here, and seem to be good guys.

I wouldn't leave just yet. Most other places are not really hiring like they were. The economy is terrible. R & L is still better than most truck load companies.
Save up some vacation time so if you don't like new job can still come back. Always leave for new a trucking job in the spring buildup some seniority before it gets slow for the winter.
