XPO | This Is Our Insurance At Work

Flow of the money?

Lack of flow is the problem. Cigna and Medco would like nothing better than to sell us service/coverage at a higher level. As when I sold insurance, I am sure they offer different plans that benefit at proportionally different levels.

And it is Conway that chooses this basement bargain plan because they have decided that a heavier flow of money is no longer necessary to protect the health and welfare of their number one competitive asset.

It really doesn't matter who is sleeping with who here. What is loud and clear is that Conway has chosen to fore go their previously termed responsibilities and buy substandard-crap insurance

In fact a flow of money is no longer necessary to follow thru with their other obligations like their pension.

If anyone reading this has had the pleasure of benefiting from our health plans, you are in for a real "shocker" as they were just reduced again as of this year.

If there are "flows of money" that anyone feels a need to expose, then please feel free to draw up a flow chart indicating any known, perceived, and alleged exchanges of funds. Am sure that since Lawofone knows his way around sound research practices, that he would be delighted to do this and provide sources or a bibliography. Graphics are our friends.

Oh, and for those that might recoil into the "well everyone is doing it" argument;

Did that logic ever work with your mother?

Good post Bankrupt, I agree!:1036316054: I would like to see more concrete evidence on who sleeps with who and how they are cutting each other deals to stay partners.
Is it true certain key people are on the same Board of Directors?

Thanks Dockworker,
But it is not really about who is cutting deals with who. It's about the end result.

Biz is biz, and it will always be about who knows who and what backs get scratched. We could expose the incestuous scandal of the decade and the paparazzi begin a feeding frenzy and I could give a crap.

All I want is for The Corporation to pretend as though they value our commitment. And for them to honor theirs.

Would love to share

:USA::USA::USA::USA:Due to legal things that are taking place with me and my beloved company, I can not show things that I would love to, to open the eyes of my fellow workers. All that I can ask is that people read and research for themselfs. There is one that I can show because this person has nothing to do with what I am doing. And to follow the rules of this board, I am not going to use his name in full--you can look at your annual report and find him very easy. The person is John ( Jack ) P., who sets on the boards of the following-Federal-Mogul--AK Steel Holdings--Georgia-Pacific--RR Donnelley & Sons--Waste Management--( and let us not forget about this thread ) and the board of CINGA. If anyone would take the time to do there own research, they would find out alot. I have finished the book that I was writting about the company and all of there dealings with the workers, and other people in high places. I do have to wait untill all the legal things are done with me and the company, before it can go to print. I really hope my fellow employees understand that I can not give out information that is public knowledge already ( you have to do your own research ), and what you do with it is left up to you. READ-READ-READ-and the old saying will hold true. Change your mind and the rest will follow. Just for fun type CIGNA lawsuits into your search engine and read some of the things that have happen with this insurance company. The sad fact of all this is that if the company wanted to they could provide the best insurance coverage that would be the envy of all other companies.

I have a sinking suspicion that your book will not go to print for many years. This is all potentially revealing, but in the meantime, The Corporation is responsible for procuring complete crap for health insurance. They could buy better if they chose to.

I was reading some older posts, trying to catch up with you guys.

A few remarks and maybe questions:

Conway is self insured, right? So Cigna is a "holding" insurance company meaning that Conway has the money and hired Cigna to distribute it. So Conway "bought" the cheapest plan they could. Any problems with Cigna (voted the crappiest insurance by one doctor who devoted 1 whole website to Cigna) and you can fight with them and if they don't budge you can't go to your state insurance board to step in. Supposedly you are to go to the HR Dept. and see if they can fix the problems.

Next so few doctors will take Cigna in the small town we live in that we are having to travel out of town to get teeth fixed or see specialists.

And hey, did the $2000 a year limit on dental ever go up?? By the time I receive a book to let me know what is what for my particular policy, the year is nearly over. What dentist will do much of anything in today's market for $2000?? NOT MUCH. I'm putting back pennies for my dentures I'm going to need in a few years.

Another doctor I had been seeing for several years dropped Cigna. He told me that Cigna paid him less than any other insurance he accepted. Oh and did I mention the doctor that sent me a letter stating he would no longer accept me as a patient but "I DO NOT PAY MY BILLS". Guess what? I gave him my co-pay in full at time of service, at the time the $15 was my co-pay.

Aren't there programs out there that help the UNDERinsured?

Meanwhile I need to call the dentist, travel 100 miles round trip to get a filling done. The 3 dentist in our local town are:
1. Semi-retired, does not major work.
2. Semi-retired, works half days/4 days a week and is loaded so hard to get an appt.
3. Couldn't find his azz with both hands and a rear view mirror. He bought my last cap at Godzilla-R-Us and now I'm going to have to pay outta my butt to have it removed and a smaller one put in. Oh and it'll be the THIRD cap on that tooth since I made him take the first one off, even Godzilla would have admired the size of it. I got tired of the fight and left out and haven't paid the final $40 I owed him.

As for Medco, I know someone that used to be high up in their company, left due to heart problems and if you have questions I bet she'll come here and answer what she can or at least fill everyone in on some things going on. She still has contacts I believe.
