Through No Fault Of Their Own!

Certain current CSPF members are under the impression the butch lewis act will free up pension contributions for wage increases. Through no fault of their own they were given the impression by the PENSION WARRIORS that money grows on trees. One of the criticism of butch lewis is it has no provision to correct MEPF's shortfalls. I know it is political ******* to provide actual facts, but maybe someone out there will tell Steward of the Rock the particulars of how butch lewis affects current CSPF members.

Mr. Troll, I am sure Steward of the Rock can debate this matter with you without any help from others. Please find a new hobby, people are getting tire of your bull :crap: .

I was under the impression Bubba's tax dollars would help keep my checks rolling in till I was 113 yrs old.

Nice try at putting your own spin on this topic. As I stated in the post on another thread that you are referring to, this was my thinking and speculation. As you may or may not know, ABF and YRCW are on separate contracts now. The Pension, Health & Welfare, wages, PTO, and work rules are different in many cases depending on which contract you are looking at. Currently, in the 2018-2023 ABF contract, the "NEGOTIATED" amount that is paid on our behalf by ABF is $342.00 per week for our pension. Again, as I have already stated, in my opinion, in the 2023 ABF contract negotiations, that $342.00 per week could very well be negotiated down as a portion (roughly $150.00) of the $342.00 is currently being used to try to help fund the companies that no longer contribute to the fund, but still have employees drawing a pension from that fund. With the Butch Lewis Act in place to help fund these other companies pensions, The Teamsters/ABF will hopefully be able to negotiate a lesser amount to be paid on our behalf in pension contributions to be used on other parts of our contract like pay, more paid time off, etc., and still be able to pay the current pension rate to retirees in the 2023 ABF contract. The amount to be paid on our behalf is based on negotiations. While we may all still be in the CSPF, ABF and YRCW each have a separate amount that is negotiated in their contract between the Teamster's and their company. And, as I have stated multiple times, this is just my opinion only. Feel free to post any info you have proving me wrong and we will discuss it.

Also, in one of your posts on that other thread, you asked me this.

"In four days the price of gas went from $2.79 to $3.15 a gallon. The biden/harris/fonda team are really killing the purchasing power of 330 million Americans. As a PENSION WARRIOR, steward o.t.r. do you feel guilty yet of destroying America?"

There have been two stimulus bills passed in the last year and a half (by both parties) for trillions of dollars, and you think that 86 billion dollars to save the pensions earned by Americans is the whole cause of the current inflation?
You obviously are a bigger idiot than I gave you credit for.

Here you go Bubba. Highlighted in yellow is what the PBGC can do if they so choose to with the Butch Lewis Act. It does not state they are required to do any of these things, only that they can "impose certain conditions if it chooses". It goes on to state that can also place limits on "reduction of employer contributions". It does not state that they have to, or that they are required to. Only that they can if they so chose to. That tells me that it will be determined on a case by case basis, and then they will render a decision. As I have told you already, ABF is the ONLY LTL freight company left in the CSPF that is still paying their full contribution rate. So, if the topic of reducing the employer contribution rate for ABF came before the PBGC to decided on, I feel that ABF would have a very good case. But again, this is just my opinion. Now, let me see your proof that they will not be allowed to lower their contribution rate per the Butch Lewis Act.

I think Bubba is just determined his tax dollars isn't gonna pay for this poor ole orphan's lavish lifestyle.
BTW, gas is $2.69 down here.

Like you said the 86 billion is peanuts. The fact that the PENSION WARRIORS sided with ANTIFA, BLM and the rest of the COMMIE SCUM, to vote in biden/harris makes them worse than Judas.

Any money left in CSPF, is withdraw penalties and the gains earned on the withdraw penalties. That means CSPF is starting from scratch. Hopefully the PBGC will only allow pensions to accrue using reasonable actuarial assumptions. Or switch CSPF to a defined contribution fund.

As i said before butch lewis is paying your pension now. Your children, grand children, great grand children, etc. etc. etc. will be paying for butch lewis until the end of recorded history. Since I'm 3 years from 62 and haven't touched my 401k yet, you are paying more tax than me, ancient one.

Your so-called "Pension Warriors" are fighting for their earned pensions regardless of political affiliation. Meaning, they are Republican, Democrat, and in some cases have no political affiliation. So you can stop with your political crap about this topic because it has no bearing on it. These people earned their pension just like you did and they have every right to get it.

Why didn't the democrats make butch lewis retroactive to before 2014? Didn't the members of the 70+ MEPF's that went bankrupt before 2014 deserve their full pension Too?

Democrats didn't give a rats ass about MEPF's. All they cared about was votes so they could turn America into a socialist hell.

I suppose you think democrats care about Black Lives. Trivia question. What has been around longer? The national debt clock or the death clock in Chicago.

Bubba, do you think there's any chance of me getting a raise?
I need to buy some more property, space is getting tight for my Mason jars.

It's time to go vertical, get a post hole digger, bury your mason jars in PVC pipe, like the preppers burry AR's. A young man like yourself needs to start making long term storage plans.

I have a post-hole digger but she's too busy weeding her garden.
Long term? when you get my age, you don't even buy green bananas.
