I worked casual for Time/DC, always got Helene Curtis loads on floor out of Chicago, hair salon products,40 bushell --ouch! Also p/d when full time guys were off,the terminal was old ,wood floors,like a rail warehouse 6 doors.
CBE, cab beside engine, this is a team tractor and the attached coffin is the sleeper. Nope Nope Nope
That was a long time ago! There was a good reason we called them "comic" books, not log books.

Jo Dog the cousin of the Jiff, both sucked.
Had their terminal right off Rt 3 in Secaucus a long time ago.I knew quite a few drivers who worked for this company.
Now we know where the Jiff originated.

I was at Carmichael cartage Co , Helene was our house account , spotting and warehouse to warehouse shuttle , had three plants a few blocks apart in that area
I spent 8 yrs running sleepers when I was young. Never did get decent rest, and that was in a KW conventional. No way would I do that.
