Federal authorities are investigating an incident involving a commercial vehicle that occurred near a courthouse in Sacramento, California, on Thursday morning.

According to the FBI’s Sacramento Division, “At approximately 4:40 a.m., a semi-cab parked on a ramp on federal property located at 501 I Street in Sacramento, California. When contacted by federal security officers, the driver refused to move his vehicle.”

Sacramento Police closed off nearby roadways “out of an abundance of caution.”

Around 7 a.m. the FBI says that the truck driver moved his vehicle to a public roadway, but still refused to exit the vehicle.

By 9 a.m., crisis negotiators with the Sacramento Police Department contacted the truck driver, who eventually agreed to exit the vehicle. He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service.

“The individual is currently being interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Charges have yet to be determined and no additional details are available at this time,” authorities said.

A bail bondsman shared video on social media of a similar white Freightliner Cascadia that was blaring its horn while doing laps in the area of the courthouse.
