Yellow | Trucking, labor haggle over driver work rules

Yup and I recall when I was a kid hearing about driverless cars and contraptions like what the Jetsons drove/flew....so Stewards argument is still valid and will be for quite awhile....but at least you didnt talk about yrc or republicans being great like 99% of your posts....
Either Puffy is turning over a new leaf, or that was his clone that made that post. It was not nearly as apocalyptic as his previous posts. For him, it was almost a positive message with rainbows and unicorns.

I'll bet you were a fantastic Organizer with that mind set. I would sure like to hear your pitch to potential future Teamster's by telling them they are over paid and under worked. And, we have to agree to disagree on the Socialism thing. Here in freight we vote for Union representation. It is not forced on us via the government. It is highly recommended by their co-workers that they join as they will be getting the benefits that were negotiated by the Union, but none the less it is not required in most states. And before you say that Union Shop states require it, bare in mind that those individuals have the choice to seek employment at other Non-Union freight companies as the freight industry itself is not required to be Union by the government. Somewhere along the way, you lost sight of all the great things about being a Teamster and are now trying to turn it into a bad thing.
If you cut out his 2-3 sentences about some being overpaid, all he posted was explaining that American Trade Unions evolved from the Fabian Socialists and writings of Marx. That's all true.

Corporations are socialist.
And they pay for policy which benefits them.....no different.
No rugged individuality in their system.
No family small business.
Other people's money runs them.
Dig deep and Im sure you find that in their mission to rid the world of socialist unions...they have moved economic and government policy to the taxpayer and government policy. To replace them having to deal with us under contract in the market.

Need retirement...go to government
Need work rules...go to government.
Need health insurance...go to government
Need days off...go to government.
Need a living wage...go to government.

Don't join a union because they make corporations pay...in the market. Right?
Your desires bring socialist policy.
That was your prize by reducing our numbers...
If you truly want a market based economy.
Unions should be honored and encouraged because we keep it all in the market under contract.
It's the taking us down which caused rise to reliance on government.

Or else you can champion dog eat dog...and walk over the poor and diseased as they did when Mother Theresa went to India.
You really sound like a paraphrase of Marx's "Manifesto on Communism" and his Bourgeois and Proletarians views.

The Communist Manifesto is divided into a preamble and four sections, the last of these a short conclusion. The introduction begins: "A spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of communism. All the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre." Pointing out that parties everywhere—including those in government and those in the opposition—have flung the "branding reproach of communism" at each other, the authors infer from this that the powers-that-be acknowledge communism to be a power in itself. Subsequently, the introduction exhorts Communists to openly publish their views and aims, to "meet this nursery tale of the spectre of communism with a manifesto of the party itself".

They want the politics in the DC forum jimmy.
Can't allow you to call me Marx.
YOU champion total freedom for business.
What did they do with it since given all their deregulations and trade deals?
Opened the borders...put individuals and counties and states and nation in debt......and fell in love with Communist China...making them number one.
See you in DC forums.

Then why did you repeat his philosophy? I don't think you realize- almost every post you write about labor vs corporations was written first by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
I like Pope Benedict's take much better.
But that involves BOTH sides admitting their wrongs and changing their ways.
The right won't change theirs.
And the left won't change theirs.

And Pope Leo's writings are the best.

Then (again)- why do your posts on Labor vs Corporations mirror Marx's "The Manifesto on Communism"?
And why do you dodge the question of " what did your type ofcapitalists do when they were given everything labor wanted them not to have...since the 70's?"
We weren't socialists before Reagan. And union numbers were higher.
They reduced the union numbers....and what did they do with it?
Answer in DC forums somewhere.

Over here Jimmy and Razorblade.
I didn't start the discussion of quotes from Marx- you did. All I did was point out where your quotes came from. That (again) isn't discussing politics. It's identifying historical quotes, ideas, and their origins.

Whatever.
They don't want to hear it here.

Take a 5 gallon can of liquid cow manure & pour it @ the bottom of the windshield of the offending supervisors car, making sure you completely cover the screen over the air induction system for the AC & heater. I will promise you the smell will never go away. Then ask the boss if it's ok to enter the delivery room and deliver a10 pound baby turd, without him or her timing the delivery of said baby turd. Ask. Which is more priceless? The question or the aromatique emitting from the AC vent. von.
