ok, i have a non-kink garden hose, got it at Lowes about 2 years ago.

i take it inside before the winters hit, and back out, in the spring time.

it says "non-kink", but i can assure you, it kinks...

ok, i cannot unscrew the hose from the water spigot.

the spigot is common brass..the garden hose fitting is (i think) aluminum, at least it looks like it is..

i tried daily spraying some "PB Blaster" into the hose fitting, to let it run down into the threads...

not working guys......

i'm thinking that the hose fitting "welded" itself to the spigot..

i have at the very least 2 choices..

1) heat up the hose fitting with a propane torch, and risk melting the washer inside the spigot

2) cut off the hose, and remove the entire spigot and put on a new one, but now i'll need a new water hose, or buy a repair kit..

what would any of you do, remembering i also have 2-3 other choices..

1) i am retired and can just leave it alone.

2) call @Stimpy on over, maybe he can fix it, he's younger than me.

3) refer to #1

Sounds kinky.....lol

Righty Tighty..Lefty Loosey, but remember it's the opposite if the hose is attaching coming up from the underside.
oh yeah, i know, i have tried both ways to see if it'll break loose..

no go.....

that was a standard way of breaking loose rusted bolts/nuts when i wrenched....try to tighten it, then loosen it.

I have also had issues if I use a channel locks when trying to remove them that is caused by squeezing them too tightly and it's like it causes too much friction between the ends.

If all else fails.... you better call in the professional's..... a good dose of plumbers crack will fix it.

4) I will have Wong stop over with his -15 channel locks.

and believe me, i too have channel lock pliers....

but when i try to turn the hose fitting, i get movement in the entire water pipe, and i'm afraid it'll snap off...then i'd really be in "cold water"....

Next time.... don't be a he man and wrench it on ...lol

But maybe some teflon tape will help lubricate it on and off.
i was thinking, that if i am successful Monday morning, i might put some anti-seize on the spigot end.

i'd go out and do it now, but i am not up to working out in the hot sun.

early morning Monday, i can try the heat gun, that i totally forgot that i had...
