Could be a bot or their all in cahoots with each other and burying their forums for whatever nefarious reason.

Seems a bit much to me. Just a bunch of mindless chatter. Maybe someone is getting a kickback. There would have to be something in it for me if this was my site.

No tinfoil hat here just sat in on to many group meetings where management didn't like a review or information that everyone knew about prematurely and they were doing damage control.
