With access to the crank handlle side (where I work at the trailers touch each other) and a lot of physical work you dont need a wrecker if you jab the tires into trailer you can crank some jab again crank some be about an hour

I agree he could have done himself, or he could done a proper pretrip and avoided the whole thing.

True that Joe the rotator just saved them from having 3 lanes blocked instead of 2 with a regular wrecker, man I wish we had those "back in the day" when I was running calls
 
We used 2 forklifts on each side of the trailer. If loaded heavy in the nose or not, we took enough pressure off the dollies so you could used the crank handle to re-set it. Old Carolina trailers had a tip pole in the front. Sometimes one would forget to set it & the nose would tip all the way down. Forklifts saved a lot of work & heartache. If you loaded heavy skids of water in the nose, as soon as your tow motor drive wheels left the dock plate the trailer would tip. Made for some interesting times. Most of the time the boss would just say get it up & let em know of any damage. von.

Looks to be at a truck stop, not in a terminal. I’ll bet he was in getting snacks blocking the pumps and some billy bad apple pulled the pin instead of being a man and telling him to his face.

Why didn't the driver put the landing gear in low and try and crank the trailer up slowly? Was it too heavy?
This seems like overkill for a dropped trailer. Maybe they were trying to embarrass the driver?
A buddy of mine dropped a 45,000 lbs load of books while switching a drop and hook. I went over and he and I took turns cranking it up. Took at least 20 minutes, but we got it. No harm no foul since it was after hours and never left the customers lot. It'll wear you out......
