And the US worker owes the VW shareholders a living too right? And tax subsidies so they build here. Don't worry we'll pay for your buildings....nothing lazy or greedy about those types.

And we owr them the right to sell their cars here too right?
We owe everybody in the world everything and they owe us nothing.......take it all we are doormats....devalue our dollar till we're in poverty and then take over and bomb us too right?
We owe foreign interests more power in DC than our own have.
The business welcomed it. They have unions in Germany. They respect it. Unfortunately stupid states like Tennessee don't have that same respect for those who aint rich.

Slavey, Question: (for real). Have you EVER been happy???? My wife takes anti-depressants (perhaps cause I come back home, not sure).... TeamCare covered 'em, Brother..... I worry 'bout you, often. especially during the YRC thing. I come on here mostly for entertainment and company. You seem on a movement; one beyond your control. Relax, Friend..... we can banter all day- but it appears you're headed for a stroke over this stuff....

Spend over a week away and come back to see the conversation hasn't changed. It's like a soap opera here. You miss a month, tune in, and still know the plot. Yet you all complain when the left brings up race. Why is that? Never mind, don't answer. I'm bored with the politics forum. It's truly tedious and monotonous.

Especially the hypocrite Teamsters on here with their anti-union rhetoric, yet they reap the rewards. It doesn't suprise me though from selfish individuals. The Union gave you all what you have and you complain that others don't do enough to help themselves. That is laughable! Without the Union you would be making ten bucks an hour and on food stamps. How dare a Teamster look down his nose at someone who only wants what he himself has. Someone tries to help better themselves by organizing but you berate them. e.g. fast food workers. You aren't Teamsters, your Measters. If you only knew how foolish you as Teamsters look pushing your right wing agenda.

What anti-union RHETORIC? For years my so called union brothers here say a spew anti-union RHETORIC, but when I ask what rhetoric is specially anti-union, all I hear is crickets.

Btw, not every job needs or should be union. A burger flipper doesn't need a union. Unions should focus on skilled labor, flipping a burger isn't a skill.
It's good to have low wage jobs.

Don't you have a pension? If so, then your a shareholder.

Backstabbing state? So a state competing for a company's business has to worry about the state they're competing against?
Arizona has grabbed some jobs from California. You saying Arizona shouldn't compete for those jobs?

    Tired of the lies jimmy.
Lies that are believed and voted for that keeps people like me where we are at.
I hear the praising of Reagan or read it so the right follows that twisted path which is the same path which brought us here but they can't see it.
I saw it. Was in my last years of school under Reagan. The song was true here and elsewhere under Reagan......." their closing all the factories down". Moving them and their industries from here to red states and out of the country.
That's what GOP economics teaches and follows. Then And now. Unionbusting and cheap labor is what they do. Tell me otherwise and I find the lie. Cause there is one for sure. And it causes all the govt assistance which they hate. And keeps me where I'm at. Always taking concessions every job I ever had. Even now I got to the best which is Teamster Freight, New Penn, best operating ratio and winner of Logistic Management Quest for Quality Awards every year.....yet still threats of closure and concessions.

Their was a time when you could get a labor job out of high school and constantly go forward. My generation always goes backwards. Because of the antiunion FreeTrade wall street favoring politics.

In have nothing against organizing.. I have Teamster time myself.. But with the leadership thieves that have taken the Teamsters and put them into slavery, will have a very hard uphill climb to get any organizing started until the thieves are delt with...

Half of Montreal is on antidepressants. Welcome to the New World Order. GHWBush and family's dream. I read a story of how fish up there are polluted with the antidepressants cause so many people are on them it goes back into the water eventually.

My views are most probably held by a lot if people. Eventually the truth will hit them. I'm actually seeing some agreement from those I usually disagree with latelly. There's illness in my home and we don't go out much. Socializing with other than family makes more problems than its worth. So I put time in here arguing against the things people support which make life more difficult for a lot of people.
The things I have seen weren't twisted by those in power. We seen with our own eyes. I try to expose the truth I've seen. Left or rightwing media won't speak truth cause they all serve the top one percent through corporate owners and advertisers. At least with internet we can find stories which expose some of them truths. Media won't give truth..only truth benefitting their masters.

I used to love the guys in the terminals complaining about evil Walmart, then stopping by Walmart before hitting the road
Hey, dont worry, when the left gets their immigration bill, $10 an hour will be a good wage

what is wrong with giving a company tax subsidies to build a plant or factory in your town? taxes are an expense, a pass through to the consumer that drives prices up.
Say Widgets R Us wants to build a plant in Simpsonville, USA that will employ 1000 workers. Who cares if they are given a tax break, a 1000 workers will have jobs. Those jobs lead to ancillary jobs in the community. The people working now have money to go out an eat, the resturant needs to hire more people (so they are now working) order more food (jobs for food processors, farmers and truckers), homes need to be built or remodels (construction jobs, etc....) so instead of looking at the big picture, you all want to complain that Widgets R Us is given a break on property taxes or a corporate tax abaitment, while a 1000 people plus all those others are now working, paying taxes and buying things. IMO make the US corp tax rate 0, eliminate corporate deductions and charge them zero

you seek to see meanness and hate, so you only see victims. I seek to see goodness and a secure future, so I see positive outcomes. We are responsible for our outcomes. Mine always charges forward, yours apparently always regresses. Make your own path to positive, slavey...... it begins and ends with you.

We are one nation Stoney. States "competing" against either states by basically buying their facilities by taxpayers picking up the tab and lowering safety and environmental regs and ensuring a nonunion workforce has affected the whole countries economy.
It has taken the money and economy and concentrated the power into the hands of the few...just like Pope Leo said happened in that 1890 encyclical I post. And socialism is the result now as was then.

Don't be surprised when federal laws are passed which takes the rights from states to do this crony capitalist competing. Its needed. More freedom is lost than gained for the whole.
It has only aided that great sucking sound of jobs leaving the country and leaving welfare behind. For the states who benefit from the competition would be hypocritical to say that business can't or shouldn't be limited to decent standards and pay..so they support the mobility of labor which has caused the need of govt expanded programs.

RTW, deregulations, favoring the rich and business owners and banks over workers.......all are supported by you and all are anti-union.
And all end in socialism or communism or something which is not freedom, liberty, nor healthy capitalism....mobility of labor running from unions, and FreeTrade with third world and communist/ socialist countries also fall into the anti union stance.

If one profiteer gets subsidies we all should.
We all spend money which benefits somebodies job. I higher percentage of profit=a higher percentage of lobby money leaving more power and govt favors for them and less for the rest of us.
David Cat Johnson has a book called Free Lunch with a story about Cabellas moving into Hamburg PA which is in our delivery area......Cabellas gets the subsidy and the little guy who sold the outdoor stuff before gets sunk......and the jobs don't pay.
Where did the idea ever come that prices shouldn't go up. They go up taxes or not. It needs to be put in the price and that is fair capitalism...the ones without the subsidy can't compete when they need to pay their own bills.

GM paid more than anybody and them taxes made a good country......but then in co.e the southern states and our own companies competition gets free buildings and pays none.
No wonder we are in this mess.

LMFAO! yes our staunch union steward in Grand Junction, Co. used to go to Walmart almost daily and bring the family shopping there on weekends when there were union Safeway stores in town...He also had the non union drivers on the dock loading freight while the union guys went home. I have always said a union is only as good as its members. The Teamsters have transformed into a very weak bargaining unit as far as LTL goes. Our predecessors would be embarrassed to see what we have let Hoffa do to this once great organization.

Leo was 1890? Marx was popular from 1840-1890. Von Bismarck was in the 1890s (European Socialist). Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson (first Progressives/slow Communists) were late 1890s-1920s. It's all starting to make sense now. Progressives/slow Commies want total control and hate freedom- much like you call for....

Will there be federal laws telling the individual states they can't operate as they want (in spite of the US Constitution's 9th and 10th Amendments)? There already are. The last 40 years, that's pretty much all that's happened...

We are supposed to be a Representative Republic of 50 independent states. The 17th Amendment (direct election of senators) changed us to Mob Rule/ democracy. Those never end well. Look at Greece's history....

U.S. senator drops bombshell during VW plant union vote

[h=1]U.S. senator drops bombshell during VW plant union vote[/h]
    Yahoo!

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (Reuters) - U.S. Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee said on Wednesday he has been "assured" that if workers at the Volkswagen AG plant in his hometown of Chattanooga reject United Auto Worker representation, the company will reward the plant with a new product to build.
Corker's bombshell, which runs counter to public statements by Volkswagen, was dropped on the first of a three-day secret ballot election of blue-collar workers at the Chattanooga plant whether to allow the UAW to represent them.
Corker has long been an opponent of the union which he says hurts economic and job growth in Tennessee, a charge that UAW officials say is untrue.

Trade has been a part of human culture for 1000's of years.. Just since Carter, did they quit collecting our tariffs and import taxes(Why? Is a trillion dollar question, but nobody ever brings that up during an election year do they).. Cure that, and you'll have a balanced trade agreement.. It has nothing to do with "Southern Democrats" or the *** at all.. You're pulling at straws again.. Looking for someone to blame... Blame DC.. Start with the ones who won't bow-up and do something about it..
