Holland | Unused Vacation

I have been on comp with a at work injury since November 2018. Had surgery and am healing slowly. Called payroll requesting my pay for my vacation I was not able to use and was told I had too wait until the end of the fiscal year. Never heard of anything like this. My local union doesn't seem to interested. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We can cash out vacation anytime at YRC Freight should be same policy at Holland.
