After a quick scan It looks awesome.....Thanks KK

I'm surprised that you have given this piece of sh!t your nod of approval. Would any of our Brothers or Sisters at Big Brother pay for sub standard (worse than what we have now) health insurance? Would you give up your extra personal days or sick days for just three days and a floating holday at the TM's discretion? Thats what they are hoping for....a quick scan and sign here. I think this falls under the railroad act, RailRoaded!!!

If we are suppose to be "the best of the best", then pay us accordingly. Afterall we are a Company of one? UPS Air Freight, (Menlo) is going from making less than we do to as much as a package driver. And they certainly do not work nearly as hard. And sadly, if this goes through, say goodbye to the IBT as we once knew them.

Well that train will get derailed on my vote, NO!!! :1036316054:

I love it how people are calling this a POS contract and complaining about it. Here is something to think about....... you have a contract! That's more than a lot of LTLs have these days. They are testing he water with UPS freight. If say they pushed and got you guys $27/hour with the same bennies like a package driver, I doubt UPSF would make much of a profit, if any. It takes time, perhaps in your next contract they'll beef things up a little. Also look at it this way (may not help you directly), but the lower the labor costs for UPSF, the faster it'll grow. The faster it grows, the more employees (teamsters) there are. That'll in turn help the entire LTL sector. The best thing for all LTL carrier employees in a long time was you guys going union. It'll raise the standard of living for all, or atleast slow or stop the decline.

YES YOU WILL!.........Go speed and come home soon!.........KK

I guess we will see how the members feel in the coming weeks. I have heard alot of negative things about the new NMFA and the UPS NMA and bloggers saying vote no, or it won't pass, but they did. Bring on the hate!

Hello! Are you awake yet? No ones saying we want 27.00 an hour or the parcel contract. We want what we deserve the NMFA???
150.00 for our medical. 3 sick days.
Many more wake up and read it a little more carefully.:chairshot:

Got nothing to do with hate. Bring on the common sense.:chairshot:

compare this to ccx. You are telling me conway offers better. Conway improves the industry? How bout fedex? how bout estes? If it is substandard compared to those then it is bringing down the industry.

It really dosn't matter what offer is on the table certain people are gonna $hit on it .they want it all and they want it now no compromise. good luck fellows.Try taking UPS on by yourself . let me know how that works out for you SKEET.

Im confused. When I hired on, there was no sick or discretionary days. I was hired into a former M/C terminal, so they were being paid overtime after 8, I wasn't, and then they lost it. Health insurance was lower then I was paying at last job, for better insurance, yes it got raised, but still less than last job and still better coverage. Being at a former M/C terminal they were getting less money per hour, then that Jan. 1 they got a raise. Everyone has been complaining that they want more right off the bat, I want to pay less than $150.00 a month for health insurance, but at this point I know that will not happen. I dont want it to be a single issue that I will vote no about. I would rather be in the western region retirement, as I havent been explained how our own retirement works. I would love to see more sick or discrentionary days, but 3 is better than what we had when I was hired. I hear all then negative's as everyone has there own thoughts on the contract that they see. I will reread everything and vote on how I feel about the contract, and find out about the local supplements that we can add. At first look, and I dont mean just a browse through the contract, I mean reading it, I have a few questions that needs to be addressed before voting yes. Like others it has to do with delay pay at other terminals, yard seniority after transfering simple things that have become issues at our terminal. Have a good day.

I just scanned the "new" contract and it needs alot of work. 3 sick days? you gotta be kidding me.

They can move your start time to whenever they want on a daily basis as long as they let you know the day before. Forget that s**t!

Management doing hourly work! Don't let that in there....ask any UPS'ers about the constant problems they have with that one.

Seniority needs to prevail in all instances.

This contract leaves too many things open for abuse......the company will always throw out a "wish list" contract first just to see if they get it passed.
They did it with the NMFA and those guys fell for it hook, line and sinker. A NO vote does not mean your going on strike right away---it just means going back to the table. Good luck.

I sugest you read it closer instead of scanning it........Management cannot do BARGAINING UNIT WORK.....KK.....:smilie_132:
