UPS is taking a step into the self-driving vehicles world, saying Thursday it's venture capital arm, UPS Ventures, made a minority investment in autonomous driving company TuSimple.

United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE: UPS) said the companies are testing self-driving tractor trailers on a route between Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona to determine whether the vehicles can improve service and efficiency in the UPS network. This investment extends the ongoing commercial relationship between the companies — UPS has purchased transportation services from TuSimple.

You mock, but for the price, with under 250k miles, it’s a reasonable comfortable short haul commuter for a couple years; if it’s smog legal.
