Correct. Ask yourself who is on a fast pace from the truck, to the customer door when delivering, or picking up? Or who has their customers willing to put up a sign in the window saying, YES or No for the UPS driver. Time and money.

It’s not about production-it’s about revenue. A trailer of packages might have revenue of 6 figures or better when a driver picks it up versus maybe 10k of revenue on an ltl load picked up

I beg to differ.No one at UPS can get away with the sorry ass production of many of the employees at YRCW.Or at any non union line for that matter.
Demanding their money back while doing a third of the work they are capable of in city and on dock.

Yeah, and the UPS box truck/package guys work 12hr days EVERY DAY, and that's not counting xmas, when they are still out delivering at 10pm.

On top of that, there probably isn't 1 out of 100 LTL drivers that is physically capable of doing that job.

Last I checked, being 300lbs, with a 52in waist, and diabetes probably isn't the ideal body to be making 120 deliveries a day.



Hand package freight is a different animal completely.
LtL, union or not is rife with lazy Mofos. You all know this.
Ups ground wont suffer a driver that doesn't produce.

Some customers have a quote of No YRC on there ship requests to 3pls.

Yep, and that was part of the reason I left UPS Feeders for freight back then.
