UPS Freight produced an increase in revenue per LTL (less-than-truckload) hundredweight of nearly 4%, driven by its focus on small and medium-sized businesses.
Our barn is slow. In fact, our slow January month hit us the last week in September.
Business levels are slowly declining as the LTL arena is becoming bit stagnant.
Some of our competition is experiencing slow downs too.
UPS will price compete but will not bow down to the 3PL’s looking for the cheapest rates for customers.
We are not the cheapest but we are also not the most expensive....UPS Freight is standing it’s ground.
Our 10% usually starve out and eventually quit for more stable work. We’ve been lucky enough to keep them longer as they ask 90% in seniority order if they want CC day so bottom 10% can work.
