Yellow | US LTL Trucking Market Still In Flux As Freight Shifts Among Carriers

Must be you don't read too good..."ABF Freight System took 8.4% of Yellow's daily shipments, increasing its daily volume by 20.1% the largest gain reported."
A great deal of Yellow's shipments were underpriced, who would want them?
The JOC reported Fed Ex Freight was the biggest winner.
Must be you don't read too good???

You made it sound as though the two Union carriers got nothing....you were wrong. In comparison to the size of the carriers, I would say ABF was a big winner....Also no response to who would want Yellows vastly under priced freight....Also you use the biggest LTL getting the most shipments....what a shock that is, said no one....

Why is this a story? Shippers have been bouncing between carriers for decades. Pricing. Hell, had one shipper tell me it depended on which company gave him the best seats to the Bill's games. That is who he used
It's like the stories saying there is a driver shortage. There is no shortage the powers to be are wanting to push an agenda. What is it im not sure but i guess its to flood the market with cheap labor and eventually wreck the industry like they have so many others. That's just an opinion. Supposing shortage of drivers yet not enough spaces to park at night.

My retired friend did that for years. Worked for Avery Dennison and Roadway always took him out on the town. When he started his own company everyone was taking him on golf outings, dinners etc.

To long ago to remember who, but they were in Buffalo. Said the pricing and service were comparable between carriers. So goodies was the decider

Well since the Bills loose every year that makes sense!

They were mostly ::::shit:::: accounts. Thats why Yellow was making NO money.
From what I am hearing the non union carriers did not accept that business at Yellows rates
Many saw at least double digit increases.
That would have possibly made those accounts profitable for Yellow. Unfortunately they could not command that better pricing.

That already made shipping small packages more expensive than its worth.

It also destroyed commerce. I closed my 10 plus year Ebay account recently. (Taxation is part of it prior to the new year)

The Casket is going to be such a bitch when it comes time to burn it all for me.
