This video features a giant custom shopping cart vehicle that you may have spotted at parades or other events over the past few years.
The unusual vehicle is called the “Shopper Chopper” and it was custom built to promote a small grocery store in a parade. According to the vehicle website, the Shopper Chopper is now displayed in charity events, retail promotions, trade shows, or for “mobile marketing” as a rolling billboard.
The Shopper Chopper is street legal throughout the U.S., carries commercial vehicle and liability insurance, and is only driven by CDL holders. It can transport a driver and up to five passengers using removable seats.
The video below takes you behind the scenes of the years-long build process for the Shopper Chopper and gives you a good look at the vehicle in action on Chicago streets.
