I think there is alot of mixed feelings on this contract, with this being said I think most should bring thier reponses to the table with a vote.

I think the contract the union wants us to sign is a joke , they were saying from the start that we were getting a better contract then the master freight agreement. [ i don't think so ]
What they what us to sign is the UPS rule book !!! [ was this the deal they made from the beginng ? Its a sad day for me to be a teamster again !!!!!!! ]

I'll vote NO along with almost 100% our barn. It might appear black and white but GREY is all we see.

What terminal / city are you located?

It would be an interesting perspective if each person that responded would indicate what part of the country they are from... That way we would all know if the same feeling were across the board...

*** As far as my response ***

I am still "undecided" although, I am leaning towards a "Yes" vote (STO - Boston, MA)

I will follow-up later in the day if I am able to commit one way or another based on a thorough evaluation of the contract as well as continued discussions on this site...

I was never promised better then the Master Freight. No offense, if you thought you would get better than the master freight you were kidding yourself. They would never give you everything you want with the first contract. You have to earn it through negotiations.

No we should have the world....You know I have never heard that we would get the Golden ring from the begining either.....I don't like to say the whole"it is the first" but it is and if they don't know for a fact they will have huge opposition....Then they will give us just that.....And really what power do we have at this point....We are all going in different directions.....And not everyone has even signed cards yet.....

The NMFA isn't as good as it once was...

I voted against the current language in the NMFA as well as NE Supplement this time around...

Our tentative agreement really isn't all that bad in comparison... with the exception of medical...

Everything else has the possibilities of be negotiated in local supplements to fill the holes.

Right, we all need to be educated and use are knowledge to help each other understand our rights and wants. I hear some are talking decertification already. I don't khow how true that is but we cannot be to quick to pull the plug either. These things don't just happen overnight.

Everything we do under one contract affects the next contract as well. When we fight to get 10hrs. guarenteed and we all go home in 8hrs. every night we are telling these companies for the next contract that we don't want 2hrs. of overtime a day guarenteed that we fought for the last time. This is just a hypathetical.

vote NO

I will be voting no as will alot of other drivers at SOH. We have been lied to and led on by Locals 705 and 710 since the beginning. We have no language to protect us from the O/O, contractors and rails taking our freight from us. Please don't tell me this will be taken care of in the local work rules because it will not be. UPS owns the teamsters at this point and will dictate what goes just as they have so far. It is obviously clear that the Teamsters have no power anymore.

I was on the fence until I saw the SPD of the UPS health plan, Not even a Teamster Health plan. I could have dealt with the rest of the "O" book, I mean contract if the Health benefit was above what we are receiving now, but its not. So now its a big "O" no vote.

I have changed my perspective
i think the medical we have now is superior than the select plan wages are above industry average and no out of pocket expenses

The Ins. is the breaker for me, and I aswell could have lived with the rest, but this INS. sucks in comparison to what I have now, AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT.:1036316054:

God, the ins must be different everywhere now. Our current ins sucks compared to the contract offer. I guess they figure most will be happy.

..well I`m still weighing the specifics..we need more time..GAF,GBO,RAL,RIC drivers have conveyed their dismay..so I`d say if they push for a vote it will be no...
