Washington,DC. trucker thinks gee it looked high enough? Stuck in a tunnel.

I often wonder if the higher ups at this cradle of misfortune have any issues with what must be astronomical recovery costs. Everyday you see these guys in some form of misadventure.

How in the world???? Never mind, there is no explanation explaining this one.

Following his GPS and not using common sense.
Driver:But officer, my GPS said to go this way.
Officer:You didn't see the sign? Your trailer is higher then the tunnel.
Driver:But I was listening to my GPS
Officer:Here's you sign.

Liked that trucker cop dialog double r,only thing I would add is.
The last line where the Officer says heres your sign.
I would change it to,so you missed seeing the sign?
Well now here is your big fine.

If you look in the picture behind the truck there is another truck coming in the tunnel.

Good observation larmar, however it kinda looks like it may be a Box Truck.
Which would be low enough to make it through.

Change the name on truck and it still matters not.
WHEN these mega carriers actually REQUIRE ENGLISH AS THE PRIMARY LANGUAGE, WE might see some improvements in DRIVERS, however such REQUIREMENT isn't anymore, so WE get the nomad sheep herders and camel jockeys.
Driver is still probably QUALIFIED to for Werner or cr england, so all is seemingly not lost and there's another tunnel or bridge to compromise.

ON TOPIC:
I, ONCE, went up 295 (wrong lane, couldn't get over) and through the tunnels/over passes. I had a 12'5" high trailer (Mail hauling) however when entering those tunnels, I EXPECTED a BOOM because, to me, ALL TRAILERS are 13'6".
The fun continued till back on the 495.
