Hey fellas, just curious about how plausible it is for a new guy to walk in the door (I have experience) and work in the city and pick up a line run on the weekend (after the road guys get their pick).

I didn't realize the city pay was 25.23/hour in Dallas, which is competitive even without OT.

Can anyone speak to the benefits at this company? I'm very interested.

If you were in Connecticut, It would not only be possible, it would be probable. The new guys are forced to do any weekend work since most don't want it. Cant speak for Dallas though.

Our bottom city guys will take the weekend work (when available) to get a full week in.

Generally speaking, everybody seems to be busy around DFW. However, FedEx says they are slow.

Yea I got 3 buddies over there and they're down to 38 hrs and 95% dock work
