we keep hearing of the record year last years was, we hear how good this year has started. Rates have been increased to the point that we lost many customers over it...... my question is- where’s the money? When other business owners gave their employees money from the tax breaks, our company just pocketed the $$$, where’s the money?
If the company is going to brag and mail stuff to the house about how great performance is- just share the money

I agree, but they have no reason to share the money. Your workers will have to give them a reason. Sign a few IBT cards and have a vote somewhere and you will get your raises

I agree, all of the operations are outstanding and the operation ratio is one the lowest number I can remember. Shuttle is app 8 to 10 cent behind most REGIONAL carriers. Same issues going back to the survey. Pay, truck speed, vacation time.

We have an Averitt driver that hired in at sefl over a decade ago for the same reasons you are discussing. Is still glad he made the move because he saw Averitt was never going to get its compensation up to the levels he wanted

After 4 1/2 years removed from Averitt; The little company that thinks it can, I don't miss it one little bit. I still ask myself why I stayed for almost 20 years and I still don't have the answer.
Averitt treats their employees (uh, associates) like crap and has from day one.
The compensation you are wishing for is nothing more than a pipe dream.

The compensation you are wishing for is nothing more than a pipe dream.
Hard to believe I left over 12 years ago,But I was a scumbag Truckload driver so I'm sure I wasn't missed.

Looking forward Iceman's reply on this one. He thinks we make too much as it is.
I'm content, currently running the highest paid run in Knoxville and other great run options below me. If I needed big money I could walk on at any company with my 25 years of safe driving and 30 years service.

Yes Iceman you could possibly get a job at any ltl co. But you wouldn't have the seniority that you have now. YoudYbe simply a bottom feeder. Wouldn't you love to make the money that you are worth? What everyone is saying is that we should be paid accordingly to the competitions salary's. I'm happy to be making what I am but I'm deserving to be making more.

They tried that crap in Knx. several years ago and failed miserably. I have never be so embarrassed to be associated with Knx, drivers from other centers were sorely disappointed at us.

Another meeting, he says this was the best April ever. Ok so you can tell us how the company is making money hand over fist but you’ve not heard about a raise? Wth

For the powers at AE, we want our share. Just as we told the boss, we don’t want a meeting telling us how you are doing, tell us how you are gonna share the wealth

Hub Group which use to make less than us is starting their drivers at 60 cents.
