TForce | Where is Teamster United, TDU?

Nobody is over paid. They are highest scale in ltl though.
Road drivers do the least in the company and don't have near the hoops City drivers have. Have you ever heard a road driver getting wrote up for idling or spending over 15 minutes at a spot? Most road drivers avg over 35 dollars a hour. When road drivers had to be gone a week at a time I understand it. But now almost everyone turns and is home every day.
I could have been a road driver if I wanted too. It's not about that, it's the point out of every job UPS has it's the easiest and the most high paying. The company think so too. You don't see contractors in the city.
It blows my mind how a road driver thinks city driver have it better.

very insightful bill, if teamsters united negotiated this contract you would have gotten everything you deserved.
I'm happy with what I got this time. I voted yes the 1st time. The only thing I was wanting more was 50 cents a year raise. My wish list was a increase in pension, No increase in medical cost and .50 a year raise. People don't get medical cost go up for most Americans. It's unusual for a company not to past some of that cost on to the employees. UPS has taken on that cost for 15 year after this contract.

I just don’t believe in being taken advantage of and being walked all over like a doormat. I’m voting no because I want a better contract. I’m not afraid of finding another job if this place folds. Apparently too many Yes voters don’t feel as confident about their ability to find another job. Instead they’ve decided to quietly put their heads down and accept what is being forced upon them by UPS and the union.

A lot of people aren't in your shoes. I come to work everyday and do the best I can. I've rarely felt like a doormat here. For the most part management treats me fairly. If I have a problem 90% of the time I can work it out without filing (Almost always my way). I can also easly find another job. But it will be hard to find one with the benefits UPS freight offers. Most of us know what other places pay in our industry and their choice is a easy one for them. I respect your No. But if this turns out to be a yes than rank and file has rightly spoken. Not fair on anyone to call names here. It's up to the majority.

It is up to the majority. I fully support he outcome of this vote no matter the outcome. That being said, I think you sell yourself short when you say that you aren’t in my shoes. You most certainly are. And you can most certainly find employment elsewhere unless you’re a total fraud. For me, this isn’t about the people I work with directly. It’s about a bad contract being brought to us by UPS and the union. I’m voting No because I believe we can do better given the good economy and because I’m willing to stand up for what I believe in even though I could lose. It takes courage to do that. Not everyone has it.

Fool's courage from to much ale.

The orphans from 20+ teamster pension funds are rejoicing, that the contract is passed. They understand the folly, of no voters who were led astray by, political opportunist and their socialist bed fellows. UPS freight Teamsters, should be damn happy they are in a pension fund with real money in it.

Good new is TDU plans to post about us again within 24 hours. :-)

I think your cause is hopeless.but I respect you sticking to it. I was a yes last time and will be a yes again. But some of the people that argued with me last time are yelling twice as loud a yes this time. I think over 12% voted no only to see if we could get a little more. At least here that it what people thought.
I was one of those yes supporters. But knowing now what the companies response was going to be I would have changed my mind. The bottom 10 on all boards at the large terminals will be gone indefinitely. they will not come back and this will have a lasting effect next year when business levels return. UPSF will fall to 6th in the industry because of the first no vote.

Estes was going to pass us anyway and they will be able to work infront of part time employees. I would just wait and see. I think we will be back at 85 to 90% in a month or so.
