Yellow | WHHHHOOOOOOOO!!!! YRC WANTS ME BACK!!!

I got a call 20 min. ago from YRC Glenmore. I applied over a year ago for a Regional position/ Line haul and they offered me work Running out of Atlanta as a System wide driver solo. Out 14/21 days. I need work bad but I would rather run thru hell in gasoline draws than to drive someones truck 21 days for two days off.

Some would say it will allow you to take care of your family and pay the bills. Well to those I say, "what kind of family would you have, being gone 21 days and home long enough for your hours to reset"? Your kids will be bad, your woman gone and your dogs pregnant. All the while your eating cold food from the can, cold cuts and pissing in a soda bottle with no running water.

I use to complain about Yellow, BUT! I stand here among all you good people to say MUD_CAT was a dam fool. 6-4:30, mid-8:30, working across the week ends for $900 a week, were great now that I look back at it. My dumb ass do the same now for 11.00 an hour and no benefits.

They are robo calling all former YRC. The pay is decent but who wants to be stuck in a team truck for 2-3 weeks. Not me! Thought maybe they were hiring to YRC freight since the percentage went up but apparently not. Well they may be hauling YRC loads but they aint gonna say.

They offered me .32 per mile 14 days out 2 days home. They want me to run coast to coast like jelly n toast. I had to pass on the offer. I would fair better working a temp driver job making 450 wk than I would running over the road for 450.

i have the same feeling, go work for my employer under glen moore and live in a truck, thats like shooting yourself in the foot.

One of our X drivers didn't call once and when he pulled into his driveway the neighbor guy was coming around the back trying to sneak back to his own house.

This business takes enough time from our families just peddling local. I don't remember the last time I was able to tell my Wife what time to expect me home, we have simply learned to expect the unexpected. Not to mention the fact that if it weren't for photos I would have little or no recollection of my three kids young lives. I decided a long time ago that if I had no choice but to go on the road and live in a truck I would find another line of work. Remember, you can always make money but you can't make time!
